"Second Wind" first came four years ago, and I look forward to their visits. I always have a project going, and they are always helpful, and good conversations too. Their sweet Gus, is a joy too. As far as I'm concerned they could spend the winter here.
We got to visit a bit with these nice folks. They're such congenial folks. Hope they will come back again.
The SecondWinds were conscientious about letting me know when to expect them, they were unassuming and very polite. I thoroughly enjoyed hosting them and spending the evening sharing travel and life stories. They are welcome back anytime.
It was a joy to have this couple stay overnight. So thoughtful. Enjoyed our conversation. Come again!
Enjoyed meeting our guests just wish we could have spent more time getting to know them. They kept us informed of their progress and even brought us a jar of jelly from their hometown. Lovely couple that we hope to meet again. We would not hesitate to host them in the future.
Friendly couple with a friendly pet. They kept us notified as to their arrival time and became instant friends upon contact. We hope that they visit us again to learn more about their travels.
Sorry we didn't get to meet in person, but glad to hear that you had a pleasant stay. You're welcome to come back and stay at the 20 acre wood any time.
SecondWind ... what a pleasure meeting them. They will be welcomed back anytime! Hope to stay with them in the future.
I am happy to have hosted this considerate couple. They were very quiet and self contained. I had a great conversation with them about revitalizing areas such as mine and they left me with a very thoughtful and considerate gift that I will enjoy. Highly recommend.
It was my pleasure to host this couple and their dog. They are welcome back in the future.
Really enjoyed having this couple in my little corner of the world. Great conversations and trading stories.
Would love a return visit if they are in the area.

Enjoyed hosting Secondwind and hearing about their travels. They quiet, kind and helpful.
Enjoyed conversations with this intelligent and interesting couple. Comfortable as if they were old friends. They shared their experiences generously. Sweet old pup too. Hope they return.
Wonderful couple and very sweet, low key, quiet dog 'Gus'. They have a super nice van that they are converting to a camper. They shared so much information about their research and reasons for their choice of vehicle. We hope to do the same in the near future. Very self sufficient boondockers. A joy to host.
Spent two nights here in near freezing weather! Very friendly and sociable couple ... got to swap lots of stories! 😀
They were great guests to have for the weekend!!! We thoroughly enjoyed hearing about their travels. Their dog is a sweetheart. I'm glad they got to visit Mount Dora and Wekiva State Park while they were in Apopka !!!
Maybe next time they come we will all have electric bicycles!!! They are welcome back anytime.
If you get the opportunity to host these two, and their delightful dog Gus, don't pass it up. It's always great to see them, and sad to see them go. Looking forward to the next time already.
SecondWind stopped in for a visit on their way through and are always welcomed.
We have hosted them for several years as they pass through our area and they are always friendly, respectful and appreciative.
Safe travels Bernie and Emily,
Butch & Judy
Friendly couple. Nice conversation, considerate, no problems.
Welcome back anytime.
Their stay was simple and easy. They were clear with plans and communication. They left no trace. They are welcome at my host site in the future.
Great couple, with similar interest that were very easy to talk! Very respectful of the property, and their pup was such a great guy! Shared some fun rv adventures and future plans. Looking forward to staying in touch.
We had a great visit with these folks. Had some good conversations, shared travel stories and Youtube video interests.
Made more new friends!
The Chocolate Lab was such a sweet old guy.
A couple of our cats were making nice with him even!
Come back again any time!
These two are highly recommended as your guests. We had wonderful conversations and enjoyed their company.
Had a great time with these guests and their "pup" and were pleased to show them our neighbourhood :)
This little family were wonderful guests! Sometimes you meet people and it seems like you've known them forever...the conversation and laughs come easily. That was definitely the case with this couple. Mr. Gus felt right at home, enjoying the cool grass and getting lots of attention. Wish they could have stayed longer - we really hope they return someday or that we have a chance to visit them at their location.
SecondWind are traveling and boondocker pros . very friendly and respectful . They have seen much of the country in their tiny scamp. The most mellow dog I've ever met. No worries with these folks.
Thanks for visiting and for letting our hyper little puppy have a nice mellow big dog experience.
We had a delightful evening by the campfire with Secondwind. My 1 1/2 year old lab puppy pestered their much older lab and I had tell him he was not being a good host. So we sat and watched the river go by and enjoyed hearing of their travels. Hopefully we gave good advice of things to do in our neck of the woods. On the day they left I was rushing off to work but they helped my better half stake up some tomato plants that an overnight rain storm had knocked over. Thank you.
What a nice couple to have visit. Arrived when they said they would and kept us posted as to their whereabouts as they got closer. We recommended several restaurants for them and glad they were happy with the choices.
Their dog got along very well with our two PWD's after the usual sniffing and he made himself right at home. All three would be welcomed back.
This great couple could teach camping! They have it down to neat, efficient and above all enjoyable. It was fun seeing their campsite unfold, table, chairs and grill. After supper they enjoyed the sunset. “Living local” throughout their travels seems to be the theme. Isn’t that’s what it’s all about? Enjoy the Fingerlakes .
This nice couple was here for a short stay but we enjoyed them. They were easy to communicate with and would be welcome to stop again if they pass this way. We wish them safe travels.
SecondWind arrived in the pouring rain, introduced themselves, then settled in. We didn’t even know they were there unless we looked. The perfect guest. We hope to visit more if they come by again.
These guys have been here before. We now consider them friends, and hope to see them many times in the future. Their cute little trailer is quite compact. Just great people.
I enjoyed our brief visit and their dog Gus was such a sweet old man! Awesome boondockers!
SecondWind were quite an enjoyable couple to have at Rascal Ranch. It was a pleasure to converse (and play pickleball!) with them and to pet their big, friendly puppy. They were very good about squeezing in where I had available room, at a busy time of year for us here. Thanx for being accommodating.
Didn’t get to visit much as they were usually gone all day. Very quiet guests!
These two have been to my place before. As I said they are always welcome. Hope to see them again and again!
We had great conversations and made new friends. Such nice people we meet via Boondockers Welcome.
They showed me Pickle Ball which I'd never heard of before. Fun couple and they brought some nice wine too.
I enjoyed these two and their big old chocolate lab. Great conversations. Hope to see them again!
We had a super time with this wonderful, adventurous couple. Our boys really enjoyed their big dog and their very little Scamp trailer. We wish them both the very best on their ongoing adventure and hope to see them set up camp again on our driveway.
Good wine and conversations the two nights here. Also we did a little upgrade with the addition of a rain cover for their roof vent.
Welcome again anytime even if they can't get a hold of use before the want to stay.
Splendid couple, and Gus the dog is as friendly as they come. Although we were going to have a Ukulele party it ended up with me drinking some wine and sharing stories. So it is apparent they have to return so we can finish that song. I learned a few things from them, and shared my frozen bamboo story. They are certainly welcome any time they are passing by.
We enjoyed having SecondWind as boondockers. They were very quiet in their cute little Scamp and our dog enjoyed meeting their Labrador retriever. Wish them safe travels as they continue to head west.
As with all the guests that I have hosted since joining Boondockerswelcome in Nov 2018, SecondWind was no exception. All have been pleasant, friendly people who have made being a host a pleasant experience for me.
Wonderful couple but only had one short evening to get aquatinted . We would be happy to host you again. Safe travels on your journey.
We greatly enjoyed visiting with this interesting couple and socializing on our dock. Come back any time. Their dog, Gus, was a delight also.
Nice couple, visiting friends, which was great. We unfortunately were busy, and didnt have a long vist.will welcome them back again. Appreciate the nice gift they gave us,thanks
I was not home when they arrived, I had to be out of town unexpectedly. By the time I arrived home they were settled in for the night. I met my guests in the morning and we had a nice visit. They have a sweet dog, very friendly. They gave me a nice jar of jelly as a gift, and it is very good, thank you again. SecondWind were great guests and I hope to see them again some day.
We thoroughly enjoyed having these guys for the night. We had a nice long visit out on our deck and hated to see them leave the next day. We hope they come this way again soon!
We certainly enjoyed hosting Bernie and Emily here at Berryton. They were a pleasure to have around and visit with and we invite them back anytime. Their dog Gus even made friends with our cat.
It is amazing how you get to know people in just one evening f conversation.... you will be welcome to stop in on your way home...
Good communication and a short quick nights stay as they headed home. Stop by again if needed. Happy Trails to you.
Its was more like a blessing to host SecondWind. We had such a great exchange of ideas, as if we and they knew us from a long time. Hope they come our way again, your always Welcome.
I am sorry that I didn't personally meet second wind. My children met them and said they were delightful. We would never have known they were there. Thanks for staying and hope to see you again.
Had a great evening sitting around the fire! Gus is a real sweetie too. Hope they make it back this way!
They only came in for a night but they are such nice people we hit it off right away! We sat outside and chatted for a long while before they left and promised to keep in touch.
They are a pleasure to host and they would be welcome to come back any time.
Had a nice visit, interesting couple. My dog even got along with Gus, their chocolate Lab.
Arrived when they said they would and called us ahead to let us know when they were close. Great pair with a wonderful elder chocolate lab who is friends with everybody. They are welcome back! When they came back the second time, they even picked up the stray sock they left in our dryer from their first, wetter visit!
This is Second Wind's second visit. This time they had not taken on water from any storms and they picked up the sock that they left in our dryer from the previous visit. They arrived on time and gave us an hour's warning as requested, stayed for a quiet night and were on their way in the morning! They can come again!
SecondWind stayed with us a few nights and were wonderful guest to have. Very appreciative, respectful and Gus was a pleasure to have. They will be welcomed to return for another visit.
Butch & Judy
We found Second Wind to be great guests. They kept us informed about their progress, arrived when they said would and left our place as it was when they arrived. They have a sweet older chocolate lab who hit it off with our little terrier. We recommend them as guests.
Gracious folks staying in a tiny trailer, they are welcome back anytime.
A truly pleasurable stay. Thank you for the easy conversations with lots of laughs. Also thank you for going above and beyond with the wonderful tour of your town. Hope to cross paths again in the future.
We could not have a more enjoyable stop!
Our hosts were absolutely delightful and beyond generous with their gorgeous property.
We had a lovely time sitting at the deck, enjoy their 3 acre property with hiking trail, a nature preserve at the end of the road with access to a lake and downtown with university only 10 minutes away with a bike.
We certainly hope to come back!
SecondWind hosts were super friendly and we enjoyed great conversation. We got a tour of their expansive yard and wonderful raised bed gardens. We were able to get our secondwind after a long day on the road. Location is perfect for exploring Bloomington and surrounding area. We came as strangers and left as friends!
We couldn't have chosen better hosts for our first RV trip. They were very gracious and made sure our stay was a nice one. You couldn't ask for a closer spot to tour IU and Bloomington and their neighborhood is like a pocket park. You can go hiking, biking, or take a nice run down to the lake where you can of course bring your favorite kayak.
We were passing through Bloomington on our way south and the hospitality extended by SecondWind allowed us to stay in town and have dinner with our daughter. The communication was excellent and we enjoyed a quiet night. Although we weren't able to meet in person, everything was clearly communicated and well handled. Thanks so much for the hospitality!
The experience was truly wonderful. The host gave me an wonderful hiking tour of his 5 acre woods behind their home and pointed me in the direction of the 100 acre Nature Preserve at the end of their dead end street. Location is 1.5 miles from Eskenazi Museum of Art. Hosts did not denigrate us for being MSU Spartans! We had long conversations about colleges and sports. Woke up to 3 deer skipping by our camper. Idyllic.
We enjoyed our two night stay at SecondWind. They were so informative and friendly and very welcoming. We enjoyed meeting some of their neighbors and walking the trails behind their home. And their dog Gus was so sweet. We appreciate their warm hospitality!
We had a GREAT time at this location. Our first time boondocking host could not have been more welcoming, including inviting us into their home for supper (which was really good). I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a welcoming, quiet, comfortable stop over. They could be friends along with being our host.
My hosts were so nice. Parked in driveway with 15amp elec. They invited me to dinner last night and it was delicious. They offered to have me stay an extra night because of thunderstorms and i took them up on it.
They showed me really cool trails in their backwoods that my dog and I walked on every day, multiple times a day. And their chocolate lab, Gus is awesome and friendly.
Quiet dead end street in beautiful neighborhood. Would stay again and recommend.
Great stay. My host were more than accommodating and friendly. I got to be the first to boondock at their lovely home.
Quiet street, big back yard and easy acess to town if needed.
I visited Browns Co Park for some bike trail adventure and had fun. Hidden gem.
My 2-night seemed too short.
Thank you for the hospitality.
