Bill and I have been happily married since 2003. Between us, we have 5 adult children and 5 grands. In 2013, I retired from 24 years in higher education. Bill retired a few years earlier from a management position. After retirement, we worked part time as caregivers (nanny and hospice) as well as volunteering with the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association. In 2015, we sold our house in California and moved into our 24ft Class C "Mo". Besides traveling and playing, we worked three holiday seasons with Amazon Camperforce in Kentucky and two summers at a small motel in upstate New York. Last year, we worked for JCPenney in Reno, Nevada and fell in love with the area. We are now Nevada residents! We love to travel, explore, and read. I love cities and cultural venues. Bill prefers quiet and remote locations. We are perfect together.
After retirement from our careers, I became an infant and special needs nanny and my Bill was a senior/hospice caregiver. We also did volunteer work (mostly trail maintenance) for the SGWA. Bill is still on staff with a Reno senior home care organization and works there on call when we're in the area.
We travel with our 12 year old rescue Bengal cat Smeagol. She's a good girl, has had all her shots, and never goes outside.
We love boondocking in the Alabama Hills at the base of Mt Whitney near Lone Pine, CA.
We sold our home in Southern California and have been living and traveling full-time in our RV since September 2015. I am a city girl from Los Angeles County. Bill is a country boy from Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. We have children in California, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

It was the height of covid scare in Texas. Sadly that prevented us from a more extensive visit.
We would very much like to see them again under better circumstances.
Wish they could have stayed longer! Great conversations and good Advice for a hopefully Soon To Be RV Owner! Hope they'll look me up if they're in the neighborhood again!
Jamie and her husband were a pleasure to host. We enjoyed a nice (but cold sunset) and my NM skies did not disappoint! On their 2nd night I had just finished my Christmas Village display and was able to show off all the effort I put into it. Loved having them and they are welcome back anytime (at least if I'm not out boondocking :-)
They messaged ahead of time to give us an update on their ETA and arrived about when they indicated. Very friendly/polite and quiet. They slipped off the next morning and were on their way. We would gladly host them again if they were back in the area. Safe travels!
Jamie.Smith was just passing through our area and stayed one night then continued their journey the next morning. They were in heavy Thanksgiving weekend traffic all day and found a quiet spot to rest. We would welcome them back.

Quiet, and friendly. Only stayed one night so we didn't have a lot of time to chat. Happy to have them back anytime. Safe travels.
Nice people, we did not get to talk much (COVID) they are welcome back anytime. Thanks, and safe travels
So sorry it took so long to leave a reference for you! We thought we had already done so! We so enjoyed your stay with us and had fun hearing about your travels. We would recommend this couple to anyone!
In light of the current situation we were unable to truly meet with the Smith's but hope they come back during normal times for another stay.
Great folks. Social Distancing & joyful but short conversation. Safe travels and come back next passing...
Jamie.Smith were great guests. Clear communication. Kept us updated on their arrival time. Very friendly and easy going. They’re welcome back any time.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Smiths. They were gracious enough to sit around our campfire and share book recommendations and travel stories, even though they must have been tired after traveling 400 miles. We hope to host them again when they head back west this fall.
JAMIE.SMITH, These GUESTS stayed overnight on their way back east When I requested a rough ETA, they responded with several messages amending that time due to traffic and construction conditions providing excellent communications with us. They requested and were granted the ability to top their freshwater tank and connected to 15A power for the night without any on-site assistance. They were absolutely respectful, no-issue GUESTS during these trying times. They are welcome back anytime! Becky and I are looking forward to the day when we will be able to interact with our GUESTS from less distance once again! Becky & George
Jamie.Smith were excellent guests. We did not get to interact with them very much due to the pandemic. They were quiet and polite and are welcome back anytime.
We had the pleasure of hosting Jamie.Smith overnight. Very nice couple. Sorry it was just a one night stay and we did not get a chance to sit and chat a little.
We hope that they had a quiet comfortable night. Have safe travels!

We had the pleasure of hosting Jamie.Smith. Enjoyed learning about the full timer lifestyle and all the places traveled. And, we have added a magical little place called Julian to our future travel destinations. Happy and safe journey to you, and hope our paths cross again some day! The Campbells
a wonderful guest,,. fun conversations with quiet thoughtful full timers.. just here for one nite, cant wait to have them stop back in somtime!!
Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Jamie.Smith, as we were out of town when they stayed the night on our property. Hopefully we may meet them some time in the future!
Jamie called to say they would be late due to travel difficulties. Then she called to let me know the difficulties would not be taken care of and they were stuck for the night where they were. A lot of folks would have just cancelled with no call. I think it's a sign of excellent Behavior by these two. I hope someday they can come back and visit.
