Pioneer Woman

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

I've been called the world's most independent woman by long-time close friends and some acquaintances alike. Probably not true, but I may be up there in the top percentiles. I am a life-long horseperson and a very long-time RV owner. I currently have a class B RV and I always boondock when I am away from home.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Horse-training, horsemanship, and riding, downhill skiing.

Lestia's Pets

Yes. Two friendly dogs and one ancient horse.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Two many to list, but most are in Idaho.

Lestia's Hometown

I don't live in a town. I live on a private in-holding surrounded by spectacular Idaho wilderness. In spite of that, this campsite has easy access via a few miles of gravel road. It is only 20 miles from the world-renowned resort of Sun Valley.

Peaceful Slice of Heaven

Our stay at Little Lost Ranch was truly relaxing.
L welcomed us to her ranch along with F and W. 💕
Keith kept the cows entertained each evening upon returning from our outings.
The drive to Ketchum is gorgeous, we took our toad as our rv would not have cared for the road.
Pronghorns strode through the property and the stars were plentiful.
Thank you ever so much for your hospitality!

Peace and solace in the wilderness!

Our time at the Little Lost Ranch was simply amazing! Lestia was a fabulous host, the location was stunning, and the night sky was so brilliantly lit up like we hadn't seen in years.

Our view of the mountains and the sounds of the creek nearby with the singing birds all added to the magic of this ranch. We even saw a moose one morning ambling by behind our trailer.

Definitely worth the drive, and the roads were really quite well maintained. Be sure to bring binoculars (or a telescope if you have one!) to see the night sky. It's in the area that has been designated as a Dark Sky Reserve.

We drove in the long way (and glad we did) and felt confident enough in our smaller trailer size to drive out along the shorter route. Nice side excursions were to Galena Summit overlook and Sunbeam Village on the Yankee Fork. So much to do and see if you're not fishing!

It was a treat to be out of cell phone range! Made the time there even more relaxing to be unconnected.

Thanks, again, Lestia and friends!

Ou host's directions were spot on. We were glad to come in from the east as it's a fabulous paved to dirt road and we took our jeep to drive west to see Sun Valley but we were happy to see that road in a smaller vehicle. Our camp spot was so amazing all surrounded by cozy low willows. We loved having power and to add on water, she even has a picnic table we could use. The views are 360° amazing! Sooo quiet at night and we enjoyed poking up various canyons to hike a bit and enjoy all the creeks in the area. We would LOVE to come again. Lestia is a helpful communicator if you have any questions, she responds prompltly.
