We have two rescue dogs: a shepherd mix named Sadie and a lab mix named Nacho. They love to travel, explore new places and think that every dog they see surely wants to play with them.
We live in the Clear Lake area of town, half-way between Houston and Galveston. You can be in the city or at the beach with an approx. 30 mile drive in either direction. There is lots to do in this area too: Johnson Space Center is 12 miles from our front door, Kemah with its great selection of seafood is 18 miles away, and there are nature centers, parks, dog parks, and good restaurants all around. During the spring, summer and fall, you will find local bands at every turn.
We are driving a 32' Itasca.
In April 2018, Carm hosted us for three nights. We met their family. We felt like at home… Discussing, joking and laughing,,, between good friends.
And guess what! The day we left, they appreciated our cooking of thin French Crepes, with maple syrup from Québec and strawberies at breakfast.
Wishing to meet them again.
Nevertheless the distances…, Bonndockers Welcome brings people together. Thanks Boondockers Welcome.
Our stay here was lovely. It was quiet and we felt very safe in this area. Our hosts were very welcoming and happy to help out in any way they could.
We had a delightful stay with Carm and Buddy. Shared some meals (thanks for the delicious chili and cornbread Buddy!) and enjoyed visiting. Arrived as strangers, left as friends.
We enjoyed staying one night at this site. Quiet cul-de-sac next to a pond. Hosts were very communicative. Unfortunately we had to leave in early morning and didn’t get to meet in person, but we highly recommend this host.
We arrived shortly after 5 PM, had wonderful conversation, gumbo and pie.
Great hosts, wonderful people, enjoyed meeting tbeir friends Mike and Shirley
Had a great be too short visit with Sterling, Theresa and Carmen. Sterling helped us get parked and hooked up and then Carmen saw us off the next morning with a cup of coffee. We talked a little not much time as we spent most of our time with my wife’s sister. Even though the visit was brief, we again realized what great people these are. Carmen was a little sick when we first got there, but improve enough to see us off the next day. Boondockers Welcome is rapidly turning into our best move so far. Again Sterling, Theresa and Cameron thanks so much for your hospitality. We really hope to see you again in the future.
We stayed at Carm's Casa for two nights. Great neighbourhood, safe, calm and 30 minutes from downtown Houston. We didn't have the chance to meet our host, because they were away for the week. It was very nice from them to welcome us even if they weren't there. Would definitely come back to meet them!
Great quiet neighborhood with awesome and friendly host. Thanks you so much, we hope to meet up again some day!
Excellent, before I even met up. Great communication, great directions, wonderful family and a delicious meal. The ratings are not high enough for this guys boondocking experiences. Thank you Carmen and Bud for making me and Lexi feel right at home. This is why we travel. Let the adventure continue.
We had such an amazing time staying with Carmen and Sterling. They were so kind to open up their home to us and made us feel so welcome. They have a beautiful home and it’s in a great location, very close to NASA. We look forward to our paths crossing again soon! Thank you for a great time in Houston area!
