We’ve been living full-time in our RV for just over two years, starting from our retirement date. We have made three longish trips, in the West, Southwest, and a trip out to Chicago on Route 66, and back to Washington along the Oregon Trail. When not travelling, we spend the rest of the time with family and friends. We are looking forward to more travels, farther afield. One of us is English, the other American, and as teachers, we lived in several countries around the world. Now we are having fun exploring the US.
As former teachers, we don’t have many practical skills outside of the classroom. Home repair and some electrical expertise are the best we can offer. 😁
We have two cats, almost as well-traveled as we are! They are largely indoor cats, going outside only on leashes and accompanied by us. They seem to enjoy having a different view from the RV window every day! In December 2018, we acquired a rescue beagle mix, practically perfect Penny.
We really enjoy boondocking in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, California and Oregon and New Mexico. We boondock or dry camp whenever possible. Sedona is one of our favorite spots, but we are always finding new and wonderful places to boondock.
Family is mostly in Washington, near Seattle, and that’s where we call home these days. It’s most beautiful in the summer, so that’s where we like to be for those 3 or 4 months of the year.
33 ft National Sea View, with one slide. We tow a Mini Cooper.
This couple were very friendly and fun to chat with. They didn't require anything extra from us and were very quiet. Would welcome them again anytime!
"Jodeewalters" was a treat every time we communicated - long before they arrived! It was refreshing hearing the real "ENGLISH" language spoken. Loved the accent. And while they had pets, they were adorable and as good as gold!
Having Jodee & her husband as our guests is a perfect example of why we enjoy hosting Boondockers - while I know it's to encourage camping and other wonderful ideas that the "Boondockers Welcome" created this program for................... it's also to recognize there are lots of wonderful people on this earth and with this program, we get to meet lots of them! Thanks "Jodeewalters" for being our guests for the past 3 days - "Cheery-O" on the rest of your trip!
For sure they will want to correct my title. They are both international English teachers he from England she from USA. They were also traveling in a convoy with her mother in Class B. Very nice wish they'd have stayed longer but welcome again anytime. We were also able to get their long not running 5.5kw generator running, as they are headed for hot weather on the coast.
Opps they'd for sure correct my title as they are both international English teachers
