Most of our lives have been led in Las Vegas or southern California. We've been owners of our travel trailer since 2011. Earlier we camped in our converted van (Sportsmobile). Before that we did regular backpacking trips, mostly into the Sierras. Our son and two granddaughters live in southern California and we try with little success to have them join us in our travels. We especially like to escape the heat of the desert in the summers and we head north or to the Pacific coast.
Trying to hone the skills of a layabout.
Our pet is a Lasha Apso. Less than 12 years old, and less than 10 lbs. She goes by the name of Dobbsy.
The desert in the southwest is filled with places to get away and depending on the time of the year we look for a place that has cool nights (not too cool) and sunny and warm days(not too warm). Still looking for the place that rates a 10 on that scale. Not too many bugs is also on the list. Arizona is very lovely at this time of the year and the central coast of California has always been a favorite place to savor the beauty and tranquility of Mother Earth. We have no specific place which comes to mind.
