We have finally retired (end of 2017) and plan to travel as much as we can while our health allows us to. We have been camping for over 20 years (mainly across Ontario) starting with a pop-up trailer and moving on to a couple travel trailers and finally 5th Wheels. We currently have a 34’ Laredo 5th Wheel with 3 slides. In Canada, we have travelled to the East coast provinces (with the exception of Newfoundland).
Now that we have retired, we plan to travel to the Western provinces. In the United States, we have visited several New York state parks as well as camped in Maine during our travels to the East coast. We are also avid NASCAR fans and have travelled to and camped at most of the following US tracks: Michigan, New Hampshire, Chicago, Kentucky, Indianapolis, Watkins Glen, Las Vegas, Daytona, Richmond, Bristol, Dover, Poconos, Martinsville.
We are booked to camp at Atlanta in February 2018 and plan to travel to the remaining tracks over next few years (Charlotte, Darlington, Texas, Talladega, Kansas, Phoenix, California (Sonoma/Auto Club) and Homestead Florida). This would take care of the “bucket list” of going to every Nascar track.
We like to ride our bikes, swim and hike. We enjoy meeting new people. When at home Darrel must be busy. He always has some sort of project he is designing and building or working around the yard. Valerie now has lots of time to finally read a book or cook & bake.
We are not afraid of hard work and always willing to give a helping hand when needed.
Currently we have no pets.
We are just getting started in 2018. Can't wait to see who we meet :-)

Darrel and Valerie were experiencing boomdocking for the first time and we had the up most pleasure to have them with Swedish Blonde. Very friendly, fun and kind hearted couple with good conversations. We had some fantastic meals together, and most of all Valerie is the best baker I have come across. Thank you for the extra pounds lol. We will welcome them back with open arms anytime. Safe travelling.
