Lifetime Yukoner happy to share the North

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

Hello RVers! We are a family of 3 living in a suburban neighborhood 10 min from downtown Whitehorse. My husband and I both work full time and have recently become part-time empty-nesters now that our teenage son has left for school. We were both born and raised in the Yukon and have a deep appreciation for the north. We hope to be on the road ourselves one day, so we decided this would be a great way to see what it's like to be a boondocker. We look forward to meeting new people, sharing our knowledge of the north, hearing about you and building connections!

Skills & Expertise to Share

We know alot about the Yukon!. My husband is an avid fisherman, so we might share a few of our secret spots. We like to go on short hikes around Whitehorse and know quite a few special places. We can also give you advice on where we think you might be able to boondock next.

Great location and even greater hosts!

We were traveling from Texas to Alaska on our first big trip across Canada and did not have a good ideas as to how much time it would take so I changed our ETA in Whitehorse several times during the drive. Kathy and Brent were very understanding and flexible and offered to have us come in for tea even though we arrived quite late. We had a great stay and visit and would love to stop by again if they would have us :-) Great location.... greater hosts!
