Romeo doesn't come with us anymore. He rather stay home...
State parks, Close to water, Nice families driveways ;-)...
Valhalla NY Between the Hudson River and the border of Connecticut. Small little villages with peaceful lifestyle that contrast the active rush of NYC.
20ft Short School Bus Sustainable. Solar system in place, Propane use for kitchen, hot water and heat, and clean water tank with grey water holding tank. We use a Portable potty.
DreamBusNY stayed only one night with us. They were very quite and respectful. Great bud remodel! Wishing them much joy on their travels! Welcome back anytime!
Very cool rig! love the personalized plates! Your children will have great memories! Enjoy your travels hope to visit you guys soon! cheers j&l
Very respectful family and a true pleasure having them here.
Great family, cool bus (us busnuts have to stick together!). Very friendly, loved chatting with them. My only complaint is they only stayed one night! Would host them again anytime.
We were pleasantly pleased meeting this beautiful couple and their two adorable well behaved children who were very appreciative and respectful of our property. So happy you were able to visit Horseneck Beach and Gooseberry Island on a hot day where you could enjoy the sand in your toes and smell the ocean. Glad you also make it to Providence and Newport. You definitely made the best of your time given the weather was rainy one day. Love what you have created for yourself. Safe travels!
"There is something special about meeting people from all walks of life, and all over the world, they have so much to offer. Their vision may inspire you! Open your driveway and learn for yourself"- Robin Rheaume
I think they all had a good time.....but spring is very late this year and it got too cold for them to stay on another night..I wish them all the best with their future travels..maybe going all the way to Argentina....!!!!
We really enjoyed our stay. He made room for us which was greatly appreciated. Loved his enthusiasm for RVing. Hope our paths cross again.
The host was great. It is on a dead end road, stay off the parkways since there are low bridges everywhere, and it is close to the train station; which was great to use to get to the city for the thanksgiving day parade. We did detach and leave some room between our truck and trailer so we wouldnât get blocked in since the parking was in a parking lot. Woke up on the departure date and a Prius decided to park between the truck and trailer. It was interesting and the host offered help and we managed to get out. Highly recommend staying on a weekend when there should be less cars in the lot.
I so appreciated Dream Bus NY's hospitality. It is so difficult and/or so expensive to go into the NYC with any kind of oversized rig and it was an amazing gift to have a place to park, sleep and easily get into the city. The trains are loud but I put on some white noise and slept pretty well the one night I was there. It was a great experience and sweet to connect with another bus traveler...
We weren't sure how to tackle New York City with a 38 foot RV/tow combination. This host made it happen. We were able to get set up and take a 45 minute direct train to Grand Central. We rented bicycles to get from place to place and had the best time...on a budget that didnt kill us. We were inspired by the host's can-do approach to van living...we should all get out there and experience the world without hesitation.
One couldnât ask for nicer hosts! Absolutely incredible to meet the host and his lovely family and dog. His bus project is pretty sweet and Iâm hopeful to meet up with them again someday at my home, theirs again, or on their road! Incredibly convenient location to the train platform for a quick 45 minute ride into the city. I wouldnât hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the world!
The host was VERY kind and gracious. Property was a little difficult to find, which he mentioned before we came, so he walked me through once we got close and even stood out in the street waiting for us! A pleasant surprise after a day in NYC!
German was super accommodating and friendly as soon as we arrived, he even let us tour his rig (heâs VERY talented)! This was actually our first experience staying with someone, and we couldnât have asked for better. His spot is perfect for an easy commute into the city. We left our rig parked for the day and took a train into the city. It was quiet at night aside from the few trains that came through.
Thank you so much for letting us stayed. It was a perfect location 45 mins to NY city with no traffic. Our host was very kind and welcoming will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
This is a great place with a great host. Very accommodating and very friendly. I will always appreciate his help.
Terrific place to stay when visiting the Big Apple!
DreamBusNY was very graciousâI felt very comfortable and secure leaving my RV at his place. We had a lovely visit while I was waiting for my ride into NYC.
Thank you for your hospitality.
Our host was very helpful directing us to the parking spot. We had taken a wrong turn, not realizing that we should have turned onto Legion drive right across from the American Legion building which is also on Legion Dr. (Two streets named the same) Catching the train to Grand Central was very convenient. Our host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. We would love to stay here again in the future.
We appreciated this wonderful family because they made their space available for us with very short notice. They were excellent at communication and guidance. Guiding us patiently, even after we took a wrong turn. I would recommend ear plugs because they are right next to the train station, which they had made us aware of. Feel like we made a lifetime friendship with them!
This family is very friendly! My husband and I needed a safe place to park our truck-camper for 7 nights while we visited friends in NYC. It was the perfect location and arrangement! Their home is within walking distance to the train station that took us straight into Grand Central. The whole transportation process was so easy. The area where we parked was comfortably level and caught enough sun for our solar system to keep up the fridge during our absence. We were able to save a lot of $ not paying to store our vehicle thanks to these kind folks! I wish the timing was a little better so that we could have had the chance to hang out and get to know Hermann and his wife. Happy travels!

So the spot is a little noisy- itâs right next to a commuter rail. Nothing ear plugs wonât cure. Donât let that deter you! Such a lovely couple, and Hermanâs bus is definitely worth the trip. Thank you so much for the beautiful wine and great conversation!
