We (Ian and Harriet) worked in International Development and spent the last 20 years living and working overseas. We also spent many years in the US, working in Seattle, New York and Washington, as well as a posting in London UK. Whenever we returned to Canada between postings, we were on the road visiting family and friends and camping in a van. Now that we are retired, our goal is to explore even more of the continent in our new class B. Our interests include photography, hiking, reading, and swimming. We do not have any pets and we are quiet nonsmokers.
We do not have pets.
We have crossed Canada many times and traveled extensively on the west coast and in northern B.C. We have made several trips to Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and New Mexico, as well as south to the Cape Cod area from eastern Canada. We've driven across the US just south of the border with Canada and are hoping to add even more states to our list. Sometime soon, we hope to drive a circle route, west to east in Canada during the Autumn, then south to the warm US states during winter, moving north along the west coast in the spring, arriving back in B.C. in time for the summer.
Ian was born in Edinburgh but grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Harriet was born in Princeton, B.C. We have always maintained a 'home base' in B.C. and love the west coast area.
We travel in a 2017 Pleasureway Plateau TS, a class B of the highest quality. There are no slide-outs, no decorations or fancy extras. The RV has everything we need for self-sufficient boondocking, comfortable travel and efficient parking.
