My husband and myself have been married for 40+ years, retired from farming since 2006 but still living on the family farm which has been in the family going on 100 yrs.
Since retiring from farming we have been enjoying many different ways of seeing the world. Traveling in our Motor Home, backpacking in central America and on occasion cruising and all inclusives.
We enjoy hosting people from all over the world, swapping stories and learning about their travel adventures.
Being from a farming background, we have tools and some mechanical knowledge if needed.
We have 6+ feral barn cats who look after the place while we are away.

Chryke49 helped us out in the rain when we got there and invited us in for coffee/tea and some good conversation for the evening to get out of the rain. There is plenty of room to maneuver in and out. We only spent one night, but plan on visiting again when we come back from Alaska and have to pass through again.
We loved our stay with chryke49 - and the peacefulness of their farm. They are incredibly welcoming, helpful, and engaging people - we are grateful to have had a chance to meet!
This was our first experience boon docking and chryke49 were wonderful hosts. They have a large flat area where we parked alongside two other RVers, who shared their knowledge with us and were great neighbours. Our kids loved it here, picking crabapples, chasing the cats, playing on the kids' playground. The feeling of solitude here is beautiful, and we feel very fortunate to have found chryke49 for our first boondocking experience.
We stayed one night with them able returning home after 3 months of travelling. Chryke49 are gracious hosts and we were lucky to be there when 2 other families had stopped. We all had a great time sharing experiences and learning from one another. Definitely a great stop!
It was a reel pleasure to meet Chryke49 at their fabulous propriety, a very quiet farm surrounded by inspiring views. A charming couple wearing their hearts on their sleeves, sharing valuables advices, experiences and interesting conversations. We felt very welcome , thanks again for your hospitality and every small attentions. This was our first boondocking experience and hoping for much more !
Chryke49 were so nice with us!!!
It was our first Bondocking
Their place is amazing!!! So peaceful & beautiful.
Hope we had the chance to talk more with them.
They were very helpful when we needed recommendations to fix pur RV when we left!!
Hope we gonna have the chance to meet them again on the road
We stayed here after a long day of driving. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed our stay. We were even able to wash our dusty Roadtrek. Although our hosts were not there, their daughter greeted us and helped us out. She even allowed us to follow her into town so we could gas up and avoid driving another dusty gravel road. Thanks again for a wonderful stop on our journey in Canada. We would definitely return to this location.
Lovely place to stay, it's so quiet and peaceful. They are a great couple and very helpful if you need help.
Thanks for the dessert, it was delicious.
We can't say enough about how gracious and welcoming chryke49 are. Their place is fantastic (wide open and private at the same time) and we wish we could have stayed longer. Their hospitality went over and above what we expected. We would certainly love to stay with them again if we are in the area. Thank-you!!!
What a great way to experience cattle and grain country. We spent one night here recently and were welcomed with a smile. After being shown where to park and hookup to power and water, we were invited in for coffee. Thanks for the stories.
This is a really easy review to write. Our hosts were so nice. The views are spectacular.
We would love to go there again if we have the chance!!!
Spent one night here with some other Boondockers. We had great conversations with them all. We were amazed at how far one could see nothing but farms. Hope to see them again someday.
We enjoyed warm (campfire), friendly, helpful hosts while enjoying staying on their farm in the wide open spaces of southern Alberta. Also met other boondockers while there and both they and the hosts shared good information for us newby boondockers. Highly recommend Chryke49!

We stayed a night here and enjoyed a lovely couple who have lots of travel experiences to share. Very welcoming and a great spot with wonderful views to the mountains.
We stayed one night with Bev & Garry and were welcomed in their home for good conversation and to get acquainted. They are a well travelled couple who shared their experiences of travel to exotic places as well as to underdeveloped countries for their charitable work. We thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality and highly recommend staying at their farm.

We had a very enjoyable evening sharing travel stories and gaining area information from Bev and Garry. Beautiful quiet location too.
These boondocker hosts, Bev and Garry, were most welcoming. Their farm near Pincher Creek Alberta provides amazing views of the surrounding countryside. I spent a lovely evening around a campfire with them, and slept well in this scenic, peaceful, and quiet (except for the howls of coyotes!) spot. Highly recommended. Thanks so much, Bev and Garry.
This was our first time to try Boondockers locations and what a pleasant experience! Even though this farm is 20 miles south of Pincher Creek, Alberta, it was so worth the effort to get there. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did they plug us in but also prepared dinner for us. We spent a most pleasant evening getting to know our gracious hosts. If you want a break from city lights, and noise, this is the place to go.
