A beautifull experiance from start to finish. I would highley recomend Tripod Ranch to anyone particularly those wishing to Heal or Reconnect with Nature. Bob is a fantastic host he greeted us in the late afternoon upon our arrivel with a warm and most welcoming account of the ranch, animals and amenities. We stayed for five peaceful days exploring his beautiful ranch and the local area. Upon are last day we were BLESSED to meet Jan whom is an inspiration to ALL! I could of spent all day listening to her ideals and soaking in her vast knowledge of the arts, spirituality and most intriguing life stories. Jan is an inspirational writer/illustrator mixed media guru. She is highly gifted in the esoteric teachings and posses a desire to assist others that are seeking fulfillment. This retreat is an artist's dream..I painted and took tons of photos...I truly cannot say enough about them both.

Thank you for blessing us with this beautiful ranch. We hope to visit again next year.
This was going to be my first experience using boondockerswelcome.com. Bob, the host, greeted me as I arrived on his property. I stayed on the property for 5 nights as I explored the entire area within about an 80 mile radius. It was a perfect setup - lots of space, full hookups, and even fesh eggs brought to my door one morning. As I went to say my goodbyes to Bob Bob offered to help me with leveling my trailer. We went down to his shop and we must have spent approximately 2 hours together more talking than working. As I was leaving I told Bob I definitely will be back. Thanks Bob for making my first experience perfect!
Amazing people and a beautiful property. We absolutely loved getting to stay here.
We only got to see these hosts in passing, and we left early due to itchy feet, but we look forward to our next time through their area.
They have a very nice location, full hookup available, and room enough to turn our 5th wheel around easily. There's a playground in the back that our daughter greatly enjoyed.
I hope we have time to stop and visit with these folks next time we go through.
Tripod Ranch was a wonderful retreat away from the city. Kids really enjoyed the animals and playground.
Host was friendly and helpful.
We absolutely loved our stay at Tripod Ranch.
Great place to stop with a very unique story.
What a beautiful place to stay near Portland! We had such a great time staying at this location. So serene and enjoyable. Thank you!
A beautiful location with available hookups, plenty of space and convenient to Portland and Mt Hood, what more could you ask for? Our hosts were friendly, accommodating and generous with some fresh eggs. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if in the area.
RWBlount was very helpful and it was nice to have hookups and water available.
We had a wonderful first boondocking experience! The turn from the road up their driveway is a bit tight but we made it in a 40ft RV pulling my car. The area is only 35-45 min into Portland which is hard to believe once your out there. The area is gorgeous! Llamas, sheep, and chickens! Not to mention BlackBerry and blueberry bushes that Bob told us we could go pick as much as we wanted (their freezer was full).
Also, with full hookups and access to a hottub.. it didn't feel like we were roughing it one bit. Our hosts were incredibly accommodating and nice (gave us some fresh eggs)! We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to stay again if we were in the area.
If you want a quite place to stay and explore Portland and the Mt. Hood area, this is definitely your place!
Very gracious hosts and the nicest people we have come across. We have a toddler so when we found out that they had a small playground out back it made it a lot easier for us to have the kid running around. The ranch is beyond beautiful. As is all the amenities. We plan on returning whenever we can.
The host watched for us as we were coming in near 9pm. So friendly and generous. Beautiful property with some features that were very helpful (yard area we could let our dog run was HUGE). Also had option for hookups, which we did not require. But extremely hospitable and kind.
THANK YOU!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Tripod Ranch! The grounds are beautiful, the animals are entertaining and the hosts are so generous and friendly. We had a great time getting to know them and their family as we were around for a family holiday get together. Using the hot tub was such a treat and watching the various animals was a refreshing experience. We hope to visit again on our next trip around the area. Thanks so much!!
We had so much fun at the tripod ranch!! We have been on the road for 2 months now and it has been one of the highlights of our trip. Our daughter talks about it everyday. Bob was so welcoming and generous with his beautiful property. We were so blown away by the kindness he showed us. What wonderful people. Thank you so much so a spectacular stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the Ranch and the hosts and his team were very nice and helpful. It was great to visit with the animals and watch the chickens! We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again!
The 'tripod' were wonderfully welcoming, and the grounds are spectacular. There is an abundantly spaced parking area for any sized rig.. while I was visiting, there were two of us over 35'. With Llamas (if I've got that right), goats, chickens, and fish to feed... the kids are sure to enjoy their stay...as did the little ones which were there, during my four days. For my first time using BW... this was a fantastic experience. Thank you so... so much!
Our thanks and best wishes to our hosts who provided us with a secure and extremely well appointed overnight , level stay. We enjoyed getting to know a bit about you and may be back one day to catch a glimpse of the elusive lamas.
This location was incredible for several reasons- its a beautiful secluded ranch, close enough to Portland to enjoy the city, but with an incredible view of Mt. Hood and access to all it offers. The hosts are very welcoming, generous (fresh eggs from the chickens!), and were fun to socialize with! They have llamas, goats, sheep, and chickens on site which was awesome- one of the llamas gives kisses! The general feel of the property is very warm, and since they host different groups and retreats throughout the year, you really don't feel in the way at all. They let you use the hot tub, fire pit, play structure for kids, etc. PLUS, full hook ups! I couldn't have asked for a better stay! I hope I'll be back again some day!
Mr. Blount, his family, and ranch staff were very friendly and helpful while I familiarized myself with my new travel trailer that I purchased at a nearby dealer. I am very grateful to them all.
This was the perfect oasis while visiting friends and doing errands in the Portland area.
I stayed at the Tripod Ranch for a few nights and the hosts were so inviting!! I had no idea what I was doing as this was my first time using boondockers welcome, but the hosts were awesome about it and made me feel welcome.
The Tripod Ranch was an easy in and out for my 30 foot trailer. The amenities there are so good, you are not really boondocking with full hookups. RWBlount were very welcoming and they shared their experiences with both travel and the ranch. They let my kids feed the chickens, fish, llamas, and partake a little in farm life. We came for Portland, but also found Oregon City to be very fascinating as the end of the Oregon Trail.
Very friendly hosts and adorable critters! we got to feed the chickens and the llamas - Bandit is the cutest llama I've ever met and is a sweetheart.
The property is beautiful and while the driveway is steep it was totally manageable in our 34-ft class A! (they are not kidding about that 13% grade though - big thanks for giving me a ride back up after i walked down!)
if the opportunity arises i would be delighted to stay here again!
What a fabulous, tranquil environment! Beautiful location and gracious, helpful host family! We’re so thankful for the experience!
This was my 2nd stay with a host, and it was just as good as the first one. It is a beautiful setting and a great location. Would highly recommend staying here.
We arrived late in the day about 7pm. Bunny met us and showed us where to park and where the hookups are. The property is very nice and private. We were tired and kept to ourselves. We would highly recommend staying with the Blounts. We're hoping to get our place setup for travelers. This experience helped us make up our minds on hosting. Thank-you.
Couldn’t stay for long but Bob and Jan made us feel nice and welcome for it!
We had a wonderfully time at Tripod Ranch Robert and Familey have a very beautiful place and where great host, we felt very welcome.
I have stayed with the Hosts several times and find them to be warm open and generous with their time and referrals for things to see or do in the area. If you are in need of RV repair, Bob could advise you very well for he is extremely knowledgeable of RV's and all things mechanical or electrical.
The property is AMAZING! beautiful views of the Mount Hood from the Lodge! A trout pond outside the place where you park your RV! Chicken coop on the other side of your RV - you definitely feel out in the country. The driveway is a little steep and trees on both sides but no sharp humps to navigate and if you drive slowly it is very easy.
Always a great time when visiting, I cannot recommend it enough!
