I am a travelling artist. I make my living as a bookkeeping and business consultant. I love to travel for fun and inspiration. I travel with my husband and our dog and sometimes I travel alone. We like a nice nature adventure and we also love to play music and are great by the campfire with a guitar. We enjoy meeting new like-minded people and learning new things. We enjoy the challenges of learning how to cook gourmet while glamping.
I love to read, knit, paint watercolour, photograph, spot wildlife, cooking, explore new places, try new foods, yoga and health and wellness. I also enjoy hiking, boating, swimming and getting outdoors to be more active. Love a good campfire and will pitch in to chop the wood and get things started. Oh, and how could I forget...I can fish for days and not worry about the fact that I haven’t caught anything. I can clean and cook my own fish and I come with my own gear:). I tried ice fishing last year for the first time and can’t wait to go again.
When I’m not doing what I love in my personal time, I switch gears and exercise my creativity in business. I help people with business plans and creating financial systems. I enjoy helping people set up their businesses to be more efficient, helping save time and money. I train people to use QuickBooks and I help business owners use new technology to become paperless.
Business consulting, QuickBooks. Knitting, watercolours and cooking.
I have a loveable 4yr old black lab husky dog named Gracie. She still thinks she is a tiny puppy, loves everyone she meets and charms everyone who meets her. She is something special and I’m not just saying that because I’m her mom!
We go everywhere together and she has been with me and on hundreds of adventures since she was 3 months old! Her first Algonquin Park canoe ride was around three months old.
I am looking forward to my first boondocking trip! So far I’ve been visiting provincial campgrounds. Notable places last summer were Bon Echo, Arrowhead and Killbear.
This year so far (2018) included a ten day adventure at MacGregor Point Provincial Park. I have mostly stuck to glamping in Ontario but I am planning a cross-Canada adventure in late August and September. I hope to find some great places to stay along the way.
