We are a retired active couple. We are avid road cyclists. Love to hike and kayak. We love the boondocking RV lifestyle. Camp in BLM lands.
We are Canadian snowbirds who travel to the south west states of California, Arizona and Utah for the winter months. We love to explore areas extensively and then move on to the next area.
bostonturtle is an avid road cyclist and arcticfox has decided he can't beat her, so has joined bostonturtle in her cycling endeavors. We plan to explore many areas on our road bikes and if the bikes can't get there, start hiking!
arcticfox is a handyman extraordinaire. Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, renovations etc. He does it all. We call him the everyready bunny - never stops. bostonturtle is a former accountant who loves the computer and learning new things. Her passion right now is road cycling.
On our way down to warmer areas we stop at a number of BLM/boondocking areas. Sawtooth Canyon south of Barstow California is delightful - lots of hiking along the ridges (this is a great area if you are a rock climber). We love the BLM areas around Yuma, Lake Havasu and Parker. Camping at RV parks is kept to a minimum, but we love Gilbert Ray County Park near Tucson, Arizona. Like the BLM grounds around Lake Mead, Nevada - we can even go kayaking in our inflatable kayaks. Looking to explore new areas in Utah this winter.
We are from the interior region of British Columbia, Canada. We have waterfront property on a lake where we can kayak, boat and fish. We love it there during the spring, summer and fall - but the winters are a bit harsh.... hence the traveling to US in winter.
We have changed our RV travels this winter. Previously traveled in a camper with a cargo trailer which housed a generator, extra water and our TOAD. This winter 2017-2018 we are now in a 30 foot 2018 Arctic Fox 5th wheel (27-5L). Will certainly be a different travelling experience. More space and comfort. How can you not like that? Believe it or not this is the shortest 5th wheel in the Arctic Fox line, hopefully we will be able to manoever the unit in tight areas. Our tow vehicle is a Dodge Ram 3500 one ton pickup - crew cab
John & Nicole stay with us every year on their trip south and again on their way home. Great guests, always happy to have them stay.
Sorry we were busy when you arrived and didn't get to spend any time with you. Hopefully you will stop by again next time you are in the area.
This was a lovely couple we enjoyed hosting and would do it again.
Second time hosting them. Easy to have around. We might try to look them up this winter. Welcome to stay again on the migration north next spring.
Stayed with us for 5 days. Very quiet couple. Unfortunately, we were pretty busy with our lives having just returned from Arizona ourselves so didn't get a lot of time to visit. Hope to see them again so we can get to know them better.
Very nice couple, unfortunately we were not up to our best the evening of there stay and did not have much time to spend with them.
Loved these two. They are welcome back any time. Safe travels, my friends.
Outstanding guests to have on your property. Very considerate, quiet, never knew they were here. I hope they will come back next year when they are in Tucson. Love to have them again.
John and Nicole were great guests. We hardly knew they were here. We had a great time discussing various activities and travels we have each participated in. Recommend them to any other Booddockers host.
