We are an active couple that likes bike riding (mountain and road), hiking and kayaking. We love to travel with our two dogs, Willow and Cooper. Willow is a rescue dog, Border Collie-Australian Shepherd cross and Cooper is a mini Australian Sheppard; they both love to join us on our adventures.
Dave is hobby wood-worker and a heavy duty mechanic by trade. I (Jen) am an avid fitness enthusiast and teach fitness classes when not travelling.
We both love to cook and entertain.
Dave is a heavy duty mechanic by trade and a general handy man. He can fix or modify just about anything! I (Jen) love to bake and cook, I also enjoy tinkering with Dave in the shop and am pretty good on the CNC machine and other wood working tools!
We have two dogs - a rescue dog named Willow; she's a Border Collie Cattle Dog cross who loves hiking and biking with us. She is very well behaved.....rarely barks and loves people. She's also content to be in the vehicle or the camper if need be.
And we have added a new puppy to our family, Cooper is a mini Australian Shepherd, he was born March 2018 and is very adorable.
We re responsible pet owners and pick-up after our pets.
We have traveled through much of BC, we love the Okanagan and the Kootenays. We also love the the Oregon coast and California. We are just beginning our exploration of the rest of Canada and the US and know we'll fall in love with many more places.
We live in Keloowna, BC.
We have two rigs; a camper of our more adventurous trips and a 40 foot RV (2007 Dutchstar with slides) for our more planned travels. The camper is an Okanagan with slides which sits on our 2006 Dodge dually, sometimes we pull our enclosed trailer for bikes and other camping gear and other times just throw the bike rack on the back. Our RV is a 40 foot Dutchstar - we tow our Jeep TJ with us for side trips.
These guys were no trouble at all: plenty of advance notice, small vehicle footprint, no other requirements, quiet considerate departure in the morning… we’re only sorry our weather was miserable when they were here, curtailing our chatting! Recommended. Hope they enjoy good travels in better weather!
This was our first experience with Boondockers and we had a great time with Jen and Dave as host. We really recommend to check out this place if you are in this area and need a place to stay. Thanks for having us as your guests. Rebecca & Stefan.
Thanks Dave, (we did not get to meet Jen, sorry!)
We needed a night's parking spot close to Kelowna and it was perfect! Dave was there to meet us when we arrived and plugged us in. We were able to pet their two beautiful dogs and then we headed out to explore.
Our stay was exactly what we needed!

We enjoyed the stay in Kelowna with this lovely couple. Our dog was having too much fun playing with the host's dogs. We walked on the trail just behind the house which is really a great off-leash area for dogs. If you come to Kelowna this amazing place is great place.
Had a lovely stay! Our first boondocking experience, will definitely do it more often.
Jen and Dave, hope you enjoyed your morning walk and didn't get soaked like we did haha!
Thanks to Jen and Dave for allowing our family to stay on their property. Very much appreciated. Nice and quiet. Friendly hosts. 😍
It was quite an adventure (not really) finding Jen & Dave's lovely new-to-them home. We couldn't believe it when they said that they had only just moved in two weeks ago, until we saw the garage! WOW. In spite of not yet being fully settled we couldn't have been more warmly welcomed.
Getting to their home's location is not for the in-experienced RVer, if your rig is any size at all, but it's certainly worth the effort. Even their two dogs made us feel welcome. This is only our second or third time being hosted by a Boondockerswelcome host and we are now committed to availing ourselves more often of this wonderful service. Thank-you Marianne for getting this organization going.
We are new to this and found out Jenn and Dave were first time host to us. They greeted us warmly and were excellent host inviting us into their home and meeting their neighbours. They gave us a wealth of information on boondocking and where their travels have taken them. We were very grateful to have met them and will remember this awesome stay forever.
