We have caught the travel bug! So, my wife and I designed a custom travel trailer and collaborated with an RV manufacturer to build it so that we could tour the U.S. (and Canada!) We have been checking out the U.S. for the last two years and are loving it! We have helped on farms with the WWOOF network, volunteered through Workaway, stayed at KOA and other RV parks, in friends driveways while visiting, as well as the occasional large parking lot (only two times just to see what it would be like if we "had" to haha.) There have only been a handful of times where we wanted to go to a certain area but didn't have an option for parking so a friend suggested Boondockers. So. Here we are.
My wife is a Nutritional Therapist, Clinical Herbalist, & Yoga Teacher and I am a Functional Fitness and Wellness Coach. We both work with our clients over the phone and online as well as in person at our workshops and retreats. My wife specializes in women's health and when she isn't working (which is rare because she works all the time) she is either meditating, doing yoga, or trail running with me. And when I’m not coaching or creating fantabulous program progressions for my fitness clients, you can find me barefoot in the kitchen of our vardo (to the delight of my wife), on the nearest hiking trail, or just doin’ stuff that makes me sweaty!
Jacqueline of all trades (master of SOME lol), I have many skills! I've been a fish monger, a cobbler, a baker, a bartender and a babysitter... you name it I've probably done it. I have worked in everything from organic farming and permaculture to construction and landscaping as well as warehouse work. I am pretty handy around the house and if I don’t know how to do something I am a quick study. I LOVE working with animals! My wife calls me an animal and baby whisperer because I am very good at knowing what they need/want both physically and emotionally. I am a life long learner and always look forward to the exchange of ideas!
We have been exploring the east coast this year and even though we have seen a lot we realize we have so much more to see!
A 2 year old custom built 22 ft RVIA certified travel trailer RV. We have deemed it the Zamora Vardo! It is 8.5 ft wide and just under 13 ft high. No slide outs. All of the usual hook ups... Most everything runs on 12 volt so when we get solar we won't need to be plugged into the grid as often. Composting toilet so no black tank. 40 gal. fresh and grey water holding tanks. We pull it with a F250 diesel.
