Easy to work with even as we had to make a change in location for him. Great guest and even left a thank you note :)
Wish we could have met you and hope you have a successful journey. Hope we meet you in the future and appreciate your kind words.
Great communication and very respectful, thank you sir.
What a wonderful first experience using Boondockers Welcome! The directions were very clear, and our hosts gave us a warm socially-distant welcome upon arrival. They really went above and beyond to make our first stay comfortable and memorable, and we liked it so much we stayed a second night. Very easy to get to Chicago while still in a quiet, rural setting. Perfect all around, thank you again!
I arrived at Mr. Bill's and he was there to greet my dog and me. Bill helped me to set up for the night. Pleasant host, pleasant surroundings, quiet night. I highly recommend his place.
We really enjoyed our two nights stay at Mr. Bill’s farmette. Easy to get to and nice and roomy. It’s only about an hour outside of Chicago so our daughter was able to drive out and spend the day with us. We are sorry that the weather wasn’t better because we would have enjoyed sitting outside in their wipe open space. We give Bill and Roberta a two thumbs up.
Host was there to greet me. He helped me set up and offered electric hook up and water. Did not need water. We talked for a few minutes and then he had things to do. They liked Dakota and had no issues with him. We walked the property a couple times for exercise. It was a nice place to stay and I would stay there again if need be on a return trip to Pennsylvania.
We are so grateful for our host’s wonderful hospitality! Thank you for the peaceful nights stay!
We really appreciate everything!
Look forward to seeing you in our neck of the woods!
This beautiful little farmette is located close to the highway and to Chicago but is tucked away in a lovely rural location. Our host was friendly and accommodating and we had a nice (socially distant) conversation. We would highly recommend Mr Bill's for anyone passing through the area.
Mr bill was a great host. He answered very quickly and gave clear instructions. His property was very easy to get in and out of. And he offered water and electric. The water even worked now in January which was great! And only about an hour to chicago.
Him and his wife were super nice and even allowed us to stay a few extra nights while we sorted out our next steps. Which was a life saver. They really helped us out. I would recommend them to anyone staying in the area.

Nice farmette only 90 minutes from the Chicago Loop. Friendly people.
The 1880 Farmette was great. We had electric and water and Mr. Bill was very helpful in pointing out things to see and do. We did a 21 mile bike ride on the Old Plank trail. He's selling the place so go visit and help him sell it. A beautiful and convenient place. Good time and great conversations. I would definitely recommend this place in the country.
Mr Bill was very hospitable and the location was ideal for us. Old Plank Bike trail was a great ride. Recommend it for sure. We had great conversations. Thank you so much.
This was our first experience. Thank you Mr. Bill for being so welcoming. Nice flat blacktop parking area in a beautiful rural setting.
Despite difficult circumstances we were welcomed very kindly
For more than a short conversation there was unfortunately no time
We had to leave without parting -sleeping?-
Thank you for the nice and quiet stay

Nice peaceful farmette with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Mr Bill was a great host and very accommodating with our dogs. Plenty of yard for our dogs to roam and play. This was our first BW experience and it was an awesome first experience. 😊
Quaint little farm, nice family. R&B directed me to the carnival in town where I enjoyed some great bands playing. I passed by Chicago speedway, if that's your interest. I was Welcomed warmly but sent text about leaving early so they could do some driveway work and I could meet up with another camper. Thank you so much for being a part of BDW👍
I had a wonderful stay at Mr Bill's location. In the morning i had a lovely conversation with mr Bill and his wife and i hope to see them one day in the Netherlands!
Beautiful country setting and incredibly nice and helpful host. Our plan was to find a way to use public transit to explore Chicago. While that's totally feasible from the Joliet train station, in the end we opted to cut out the commute altogether and stay in the truck parking lot at McCormick Place, from where you can walk into the city.
Had an awesome stay at Mr Bill’s. It’s a beautiful little farm with a flat paved driveway. The location worked well for a side trip to Chicago for the day. They welcomed us when we arrived and were wonderful hosts!
Easy to find, extremely level hard site with country views Handy stop over on the way to Chicago - 45 miles out, A really nice down to earth couple and we enjoyed chatting with them. Would definitely recommend
We left our trailer at MrBills for 4 days so,we could visit our son in Chicago.
We are eternally grateful to this wonderful friendly host.
MrBill was super friendly and helpful.
Couldn’t really ask for a better host.
Mr. and "Mrs" Bill were very cordial and welcoming. Wonderful people and a nice location outside the City's hub bub.
Mr. Bill's locations is easy to find, not terribly far off the interstate and perfectly peaceful as an overnight stay. The parking was flat and the electricity hook up was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed our stay, Thank you Mr. Bill!
We couldn't have had a more perfect first time Boondockers Welcome boondocking experience. Beautiful location, great bird watching and a lovely sunset. Other than me not listening to our GPS and my wife and having to turn around, easily located and easy access to and from the highways around the area. A perfect experience and lovely couple. Thanks Mr Bill and Roberta!
Beautiful farm setting with gorgeous sunsets. The owners were exceptionally accommodating and provided professional expertise on RV electrical issues. Highly recommend this location.
So very kind, generous and helpful by respecting privacy. Love the location to open farmlands, so peaceful And write-off Nexus of highways. Great people!
Mr. Bill was extremely accommodating and helpful, and a great place to stay the night. Arrived late-ish, and wished we'd had more time to chat. Highly recommend it as a place to say.
Great place to spend the night on are trip . Thanks again.
Nice level spot on blacktop, welcoming hosts. Easy access back to 80.
Really enjoyed this visit. Farms are great hosts.
What a pleasant respite from the road for us weary RVers.
Mr. Bill was a welcoming and gracious host; so was the happy border collie, who probably would have come with us if we had let it. Mr. Bill responded quickly to our request to stay and helped us easily get situated.
Mr. Bill's small acreage and the surrounding corn fields provided a visual green feast morning thru evening while we lounged in our lawn chairs enjoying the northwestern breezes.
You will enjoy your stay there.
A lovely late 1800s farm house, silos and several outbuildings set the stage for a pleasant stay on the fringes of the suburbs. A congenial host adds to the charm.
Mr. Bill came out to meet us when we arrived to show us where to park. He was very friendly we enjoyed having time time talk with him. Nice location we had a very pleasant stay.
I rolled in late afternoon to find the son expecting me and showing me round. Beautiful old house - same generation as the one owned by Abe Lincoln in Springfield, which I had visited earlier that day. Mr. Bill very friendly and helpful - even found me propane not far away, just off Hwy I-55 at a large, busy centre called Ric's RV. If you're in the area and need RV assistance this is the place (Shorewood, IL, just south of Chicago). Lots of helpful staff and everything else. Mr. Bill and his family made this a very pleasant visit.
Mr. Bill agreed to host me and when a delayed shipment kept me rooted in Indiana, he was very kind about my first delaying, then canceling my arrival. I do hope to actually meet someday, if they'll have me.
I was happy to converse with him and thankful he was so understanding of my situation.
