We live about 35 miles from tupelo ms. We raise catfish, and are in the process of trying to make life a little more relaxing..( is that possible??) We have two young energetic young men who will be stepping in and renting our fish ponds, so hopefully we can travel more. We also have a herd of cattle.
We can tell you about raising catfish!
A lively, energetic german shepherd plus 2 cats..

S n B RV'n stopped by for a snooze and run. Great guests, on the way home. We had to leave early for a forgotten dental appointment. Only got to visit for a few minutes, but were fun to talk to!
We enjoyed meeting and hosting S n B. They were delightful. We wish we had been more available to visit with them. Very curtious, we would host them again anytime.
We had a great visit with S n B they are welcome back any time
We had a wonderful, albeit short stay at this unique location, hosted by a very kind, gracious couple. Our only regret was having a scheduled event that kept us from being able to stay longer than one night.
Beautiful farm and wonderful hosts. We didn't get to chat but we had fun playing with the dog. Great stoppover!
The host and her German Shepherd was so warm and welcoming. Their catfish farm is so beautiful and relaxing. We will stay here again when traveling through the area.
Loved staying here, the hosts are so friendly and the place is beautiful
We thoroughly enjoyed Akin Bac Acres and would definitely recommend this BDW Host site. Sweet Cooter, their German Shepherd was friendly and greeted us when we arrived. We enjoyed watching and listening to the purple Martins. Our hosts were gracious and we enjoyed a nice conversation with them. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay again if ever in the area. I hope they will come visit us when they get a chance. We hope you get to retire soon and enjoy camping!
This stop is definitely in my top 10 favorites. It’s not everyday that you meet genuinely kind people. Even though they were extremely busy with their work they made time for us.
We loved the owners and their farm. They were as warm and welcoming as everyone says and their farm is a beautiful combination of the work of God and man. Together ♥️
We had a great stay at Akin Bak Acres. The hosts are very generous and welcoming. We enjoyed meeting and spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren. On our next trip through, I would love to get a tour of their catfish farm, and learn a little bit about its operation. We also had a lot of fun playing catch with Cooter, a super friendly German Shepard!
Lovely couple, beautiful farm, quiet night, no backache the next day. Win win!!!
Thank you for a good night sleep. Just what we needed after a full night of storms in Pensacola FL.
Will definitely request a stay next year.
Just what we wanted from the country! Host met us and showed us where to set up. Everything was fine. We left early morning so we were unable to meet the nice woman who took our call. The dog was cool and had character 😊
Our hosts were lovely people and we felt very welcome and enjoyed talking with them. We stayed one night and slept well. They made us homemade cinnamon rolls which were delicious. If we’re in the area again we would definitely stay there again.
Only stayed 1 night and got in late at that! We chatted for a few minutes and these folks are very nice people. We hope to see them again soon so we can get to know them even better. Wonderful place to stay!
Thank you both! ❤
We spent one night at Akin Bak Acres. The hosts were great!! The hosts were interesting and most gracious! The access was easy. The campsite was level with plenty of room. Their rural location was peaceful, quiet, and felt very safe. This place could not have been any better. We will definitely be stopping here again when we are in this area.
Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay here. They were very busy with previous obligations yet found the time to host us. The conversation, covering many topics dear to our heart, was quite free flowing. The location is quiet with room to stretch your legs too. Sincerely the host with the MOST. We plan on returning in the future.
This was just a quick stay for me on a cross country road trip. Safe and secure location. Sweet friendly people and a lovely dog. He let me play fetch with him and joined me for a walk. I appreciate the hospitality.
This farm is my favorite in recent times, and I especially like the warm reception of Steven and Bonney, helping me park the RV and helping me connect the water and electricity. I had a very pleasant time on this farm It's very easy to get along with them. Just like my family, I even visited their farm and the whole process of feeding fish. When I left, I was reluctant. I guess I will come back and wait until there is no virus. At the time, we can communicate and communicate better and strengthen mutual understanding.
Enjoyed a nice quiet night out in the county. Hosts were very friendly and quick to respond to our communications. RV site was nice and level. Hope to visit again when we have more time to visit. Thanks for the great stay.
Great location, gorgeous property, amazing bird activity, so bucolic & a great nights rest under a beautiful moon.
Thanks so much for your generous hospitality!!
What a treat to stay at this place! Easy to hook up water and electricity. Wonderful dog to play with. Lots of birds. Very gracious and engaging hosts. Would highly recommend this place.
Our second time there, great location and it was like rekindling a friendship. There dog is very welcoming and will play catch any time. Very nice friendly folks with lots of stories to tell. Until we meet again Thank you
We had a wonderful time and were grateful for a tour of the fish ponds and delicious cinnamon rolls... everyone LOVED the dog so much! It was an easy in & out with our 35' Travel Trailer - plenty of room and we appreciated access to utilities. Host was wonderful - we loved chatting. Our trip was short due to a schedule change on our part - and I wish we could have stayed longer!!
Thanks so much!!
Great hosts. Made sure we had what we needed to set up. Was neat to see the operation of their farm between the cattle and catfish ponds. Had a great dinner and fellowship with S &B for several hours.
Their very friendly German Shepherd was outside our door in the mornings just waiting for us to get up. Definitely recommend staying with them. Great hospitality.
Lovely and quiet ( apart from the storm lol). With electric, friendly dog, water and kind folk. Recommended!
S And B. Are such great people. we stayed a extra night waiting for a package. Buitiful location and great level spot. Debbie quickly became great friends with there German shepherd. what a friendly dog. S and B. made sure we had EVERYTHING we need. Lol. Including fresh baked rolls. If we were ever to be that way again we would stop just to say hello.
What a nice host and place to spend the night. Very easy to get to. Nice place to park with 30A hookup. We will request to stay next time we are in this area.
We had a really nice stay at their place. They were so kind and generous with us. If we return to the area, we will not hesitate to return to see them. If you are lucky enough to be hosted by them, you will not regret it.
Even though the weather has been terrible our host still greeted us with a site that was easy to access. Didn’t get to visit with them very long but enjoyed the short time we had. Will definitely keep this BW site on the list to stop at again. Thanks again!!!
What a location owned by such kind people! Bonnie was helpful with directions and communicative throughout my quick stay. I only wish I had not been stuck on work calls while there because I could tell how lovely it would have been to spend more time talking to this couple!
Yellow flowers marking a lush green landscape as views of catfish ponds and cattle hang to the left and right! Perfect way to wake up in the morning.
I would definitely stay here again in the future. Hopefully for longer than 18 hours! And, I would bring there sweet German shepherd a treat.
Contacted at the last minute due to the fact that where we were to stay was too wet. They welcomed us with open arms in the dark and we had a nice visit. This is what boondockers is all about people helping people and enjoying their company. Too bad we only stayed one night as we would of liked to of learned about catfish farming. Lovely farm and listening to the rooster crowing in the morning and the purple Martin's chirping made it all that more special. Thank you for taking us at the last minute. Stay in touch
Virginia and Bob
The hosts farm is very easy to find and is in a lovely rural setting. They greeted us on arrival, helped us park up and provided us with electricity/water hook ups. We had a great chat in the morning and the host even gave us some homemade bread and jam, delicious!! We only stayed one night with the hosts (we had to leave early the next morning) but we wished we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend staying here.
Steve and Bonnie were the most friendly hosts you can ask for. Steve gave me some great pointers on how to attach my sway bars better and Bonnie was a very, out going, friendly hostess you can ask for. There beautiful cattle/catfish farm was the most quiet place you can stay at. Even their German Shepard puppy was the most friendly creature, that loves to play. if we ever go back to this area, we will for sure stop by and stay a night or two. Thanks Bonnie and Steve.
We suggest that you not stay with this couple as your first bw hosts. They are so lovely you will be ruined for bw hosts forever. Their property is gorgeous, the spot is perfect and we can't say enough about what a fun, interesting couple they are. We hope to stay friends forever.
Make sure to ask him why he wears suspenders.
One of the most beautiful places I've stayed. The hosts were very nice and I enjoyed spending time chatting. The views were incredible and the sunset was amazing. I can't say anything but positive about this place. Easy access and lots of privacy, peace and quiet with lots of nature sounds. I would go back here any time. Thank you for your kindness!
We stayed with this host for one night with our Chrysler minivan camper, in their huge farmyard. Although not as secluded as we normally like to be, the hosts were very gracious, and were familiar with my wife's home town area. We had a good visit on their back porch. Unfortunately, it started pouring down rain as we were finishing our packing the next morning, and we didn't get to say goodbye, but would definitely stay here again if we pass this way.
After a long day on the road, it was really nice to see a smiling face. Steve greeted us right away and set us up in a great area at their place. Wished we could have stayed longer to visit - they were so accommodating and just what needed! And, the purple martins are gorgeous!
Great experience to be hosted by Steve and Bonnie. Excellent hosts, very friendly, good chat in the morning after (about everything). Steve showed us the catfish ponds and his daily concern, what was very interesting. We’re happy to have met these guys, we thank them so much and wish them all the best, retired or not yet.
Such lovely and gracious people! Very easy to talk to, very informative- I learned a lot about catfish farming!! Beautiful home and yard. How lovely to sleep by the lullaby of the frogs and waken to the animated chatter of the birds! Highly recommend this stop!!
We stayed with our hosts on May 4th, 2018 with our minivan camper. They were very friendly hosts, and we found many things in common, since they were familiar with our northern Indiana heritage. We had a nice evening visit after dinner, but it started pouring rain the next morning. They were gracious enough to allow us to get our van under a roof so we could complete our packing up without getting wet, and we really appreciated that. We would definitely recommend this country setting on a large commercial farm, and will request another stay if we pass that way again. It was a very pleasant experience!
We loved staying here. The hosts are incredibly kind and the scenery is gorgeous. And we loved watching all the birds— they’re abundant here!
We were greatly blessed to meet Steve and Bonnie at the Catfish Farm. They were so warm and welcoming. We had the opportunity to learn a lot about catfish and the process of feeding and harvesting the fish. They had been caring for 2 of their grandchildren who's mother had given birth the day before. The accommodations were wonderful with the ability to view acres and acres of pond, trees, cattle and sky. We treasure Bonnie and Steve and consider them very dear friends.
