Thanks for welcoming me to Boondockers Welcome. Once I decided to go on an RV adventure there was no turning back. Like so many others, I studied up on how to buy them, drive them, fix them and find places to camp. Up until now it's all "in my head" and I'm about to get out there and "do this". I'm a mom and a good corporate adult (project manager). However, with my son raised and on his own and a bit of money saved, I'm on my way to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and any other place that has semi warm days. I'm officially on a sebatical for a few months. Hoping to read a book - a whole one, and cook some meals without rushing. Would love to have a life full of interesting stories that I experience on the road. Hoping to hear your stories. I'm a great listener, even a bit of an introvert but not to the extreme. Looking forward to meeting you and becoming friends.
Tammie
PS: Before RV'g I have traveled to several US states, our neighbor countries and to Europe. I backpacked in 6 countries with my best friend from high school when we were in our late 20's. We worked the grape harvest in Switzerland...such hard work! But we could see beautiful Lake Geneva from the fields.
computer skills - Word - Excel - various project management applications.
Driving, organizing, administrative, quick to learn.
I do not have pets.
New to Boondocking - I like rivers, lakes, woods and I love farms since I grew up working on them.
Been living just outside San Francisco for over 20 years. I grew up in North Carolina.
2002 . Pleasure-Way Excel TS. - 20 ft long, 9ft high - Ford - no slide outs, no decorations. Clean and simple and unassuming. She came with her own good vibe - OK OK I'm from Ca...but it's true.
Tammie is wonderful. She communicated her plans and made it so easy to host her. We had a wonderful dinner together (thanks to her). She is self-sufficient, careful about my property and all-around great. I would highly recommend hosting her. Thanks for staying with me! I wish I could have given you a better place to go during the only full day of rain we've had in Southern CA in the last year.
We enjoyed hosting Tammie. She kept in communication with us about her schedule and was a very pleasant person to deal with. Her rig looked very efficient (we were a bit envious) and would fit seamlessly into just about any boondocking situation.
