We are retired scientists/writers enjoying the good life. We migrate south during the winter. Our 6 kids are grown up and we have grandchildren from ages 2-16. We RV'd full time for five years but the cold spring and fall of Manitoba eventually drove us to buy a small stick house in a rural area for the shoulder season. We have two dogs and a cat. We enjoy gardening, walking, and we are casual bird watchers. We try to be active in our local community. We are members of the senior club, we volunteer at community bingos regularly and Dick is a volunteer firefighter.
We are scientists by training. Our speciality is genetics and mathematics but we have broad interests in many areas. We have excellent computer skills and we are good at lots of RV repairs, especially electrical stuff and solar power.
We travel all over Canada and the USA. We have been in every state in the lower 48 except Utah where we plan to go in a couple of months. We have a special love for Oklahoma, Arkansas and the Florida panhandle.
We live in a small Manitoba town of 70 people. We have lived in various locations including Montreal, Chicago, and Winnipeg.
We have a 2010 Keystone Passport ultra lite travel trailer that is 28ft hitch to bumper with a single 12 inch slide out on one side. We pull it with a 2009 Ford F150 making our total length unhitched 56ft.
