My husband and I have raised 3 awesome sons and now it's time to live a little. We enjoy watersports and most of our travels are to and from ski events. We are both professionals who respect the property of others. We are 50 somethings who have left our crazy days behind and now look for beauty and peace in a calm environment.
Timmie is an A/C technician, jack of all trades and is presently learning to do boat upholstery repair. I (Maria) have a college degree in communication with master level training in social services but my favorite skill to share is photography. I have been a professional level photographer and videotographer, in the 1990's, my biggest learning curve is using modern equipment but I love to try. I am presently working on video editing skills using the iMac computer Santa gave me for Christmas.
Any place on the way to or from a Hydrofoil (water skiing) event.

the Best things in Life are the People (and Pets) we Love, the places we've been and the MEMORIES we've made along the way ......... Our stay with our hosts reflects this👍🏻
We spent 3 nights in Louisiana with amazing hosts and their cats.
They were so welcoming.
The view from our trailer looked out over a beautiful bayou.
They provided a gumbo dinner to us and another young couple with 2 young children from Quebec on the first night.
Maria went along with us to New Orleans and showed us all the great spots to see. Thanks for letting us meet one very special June bug💕
We had a wonderful spread of crawfish for dinner with Timmie.
We had a lot of rain on our last day so Darrel was happy to spend a few hours helping them install flooring in their laundry room / wash room. After the work was done we went to their favorite oyster house for chargrilled oysters, shrimp, catfish and more. At end of evening our adult daughter watched Wonder Woman movie with our hosts before going to bed.
We would love to return and want to thank you both for your generous hospitality 😎

Timmie and Maria are two exceptional hosts, we had a good time with them. The place where we left our trailer was beautiful at the edge of a bayou! We will have beautiful memories of the Louisiana.
Thank you for everything!!
We loved everything about our stay! Our host were beyond welcoming and enjoyed showing us all around the bayou and the area. They offered greet ideas for us to explore and we’re genuine and sweet! We felt like lifelong friends! We went to a crawfish boil our first night and it was the best experience! Thank you Maria and Timmy, we will definitely be back.
Timmie and Maria were such a joy...they are the most gracious hosts and we had an absolute blast during our stay! The setting is beautiful and right on the bayou. They took us out on their boat and we got to see Timmie hydrofoil (so cool!) and even spotted an alligator. Maria took us out to the Cajun Village which was so fun, and we tried our first--and certainly not last--beignet. They welcomed us into their home with the most delicious etouffee and a crawfish boil, we met their sweet grown kids and we left feeling like family.
We cannot recommend these hosts highly enough. It was a truly one-of-a-kind experience, and we'd go back in a second!
The water view was beautiful, it was quiet, the cellphone signal was excellent for us to run our business remotely, plus they had the sweetest cats! The host really enjoy interaction with thier guest. They were eager to take a boat ride, offer a ride to the market, and even offered to show us around New Orleans! They were very friendly and offered more than needed for sure! We enjoyed a wonderful meal of gumbo on our last night staying, thanks again yall!
Thank you both so much for your hospitality and kindness! It as so nice to see different parts of Louisiana besides the city and you guys have a great spot on the water. Also thanks for the tip to go to Cajun Village!
Our first experience was amazing.
The site at the edge of the bayou is beautiful and very quiet.
Maria and Timmie are wonderful hosts. Their hospitality and generosity allowed us to spend two fantastic days at their home. Maria showed us around the area and discovered the local cuisine. She even cooked us a delectable Combo. Thank you very much Maria and Timmie. We will be happy to welcome you back to Quebec.

The Cajun Retreat folks were absolutely great. Friendly, accommodating and the gumbo was wonderful. They took us out motor boating and he showed us what hydro foil skiing was all about - doing 360 flips and other antics. Great folks and great place. I hope I can see them again some day.
This was a great boondocking experience! We especially enjoyed visiting with our hosts. They are a very friendly & welcoming couple. We definitely recommend staying at their CajunRetreat.
We can’t thank our hosts enough.
They are a very kind and welcoming couple.
We had an amazing experience being there. Highly recommended.
It was an honor to meet their family and we were treated as part of them.
We loved our time there.
Only Timmie was at home. Had in the evening nice talkings with him and a couple other boondockers. The place is so peaceful, nice and quiet and we hope to come back when we come to the USA next year.
Thanks for having us!!!
Wonderful hosts. We had a fantastic time staying at cajun retreat.
We were made extremely welcome. we were shown around the local area and introduced to cajun life.
We have taken away some great memories and made some new friends.
This was our first experience with welcomeboondockers and it was perfect all round. The place is very peaceful and the owners are very friendly and welcoming.
Maria & Timmie Were super hosts. Maria even invited us to partake in some of the best Cajun jambalaya in Louisiana! I would rate them as a 25 on a scale of 1–10. 🤗
