We are Steve and Carol, recently retired and starting our journey across the country, sharing our RV with our Doberman Ace. I grew up camping, and although I haven't done so in many years, it is all kind of coming back to me. Carol is experiencing a whole new world as a newbie and Ace is clueless right now, but both of them are fast learners. Hoping to see a lot of the amazing things you read about firsthand and enjoy them while we are young enough. Wishing to visit as many states as possible within about a 2 year period, then we'll decide what next!
Carol can make gourmet worthy dinners from the simplest ingredients.
Steve has many skills, mechanical, woodworking, problem solving.
We are from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Our rig is a 1990 Fleetwood Bounder Class A 34 ft. We also have a tandem axle car hauler which will have a Toyota Corolla and a Harley Electra Glide. It's an older bus, but in good shape mechanically with some exterior repairs. All the systems appear to operate properly and should last us for our 2 year journey. Equipped with a generator and 30 amp shore power.
I never got the pleasure to meet On The Road in person, but I talked them on the phone several times and got the impression that they are experienced RV's. They followed my instructions to and at the campsite, and with the temperature close to triple digits I was glad to be able to offer them power and water. As the title says come back anytime I want to hear the stories you must have from traveling around the USA. Safe travels...
It was nice to have them visit with us since they came from the place where I grew up in my teens . Had a great time with Steve changing out the muffler that I just Happened to have By Fate on the gen set. Enjoyed the visit very much . Hope they will come back again
Steve and Carol are wonderful, friendly folks! Quiet campers. Their dog, Ace, was a delightful happy guy! We would host them again in a heart beat.
