Do you know or have you hosted this user?

We have a goal of visiting every State and Province in North America within the next 5 years. Our RV never returns home, we keep putting it in storage then fly home until our next set of holidays. Once we fly back again we take it out of storage and continue down the road. We've been doing this for over 3 years and have currently covered 15 states - and counting! To learn more about us, check out our webpage www.whatmaggiesaid, or our Youtube channel under the same name.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

We've been to so many wonderful places and had so many wonderful experiences that choosing a favorite is impossible. To date we have travelled 24 states.

Great guests

Perfectly lovely couple who are traveling the country in style!
We were glad to meet and discuss a mutual love of music.
These folks are welcome back any time!

Great stay

TSherman had clear, polite texting communication right from the start. They allowed us the use of power cord and gave helpful direction to the sky train and a breakfast restaurant. We had a busy schedule but we invited into their home the following morning to have a friendly chit chat, and we toured our rv.
Overall this stay was comfortable, safe, on a quiet street, and was a lovely first boondocker experience. Thank you TSherman for your kind hosting :)

Nothing but good things to say!

These hosts were friendly and helpful! We had car trouble and arrived late. They were very accommodating and offered to let us extend our stay if needed. They left us info on where to park, public transportation, and local amenities. They were very easy to communicate with. We didn’t use any hook ups but everything was available if we did. We just parked on the street with our truck and camper and had a very quiet night. Quick walk to a major transit station. It was an easy 15 minute ride to Chinatown/Gas Town and we took the Aquabus from there to Granville Island. The residential streets are narrow, not suited for a big rig but worked fine for us. It’s a beautiful neighborhood and they were wonderful hosts!

Great location, much appreciated.

The value of a safe place to stay in a busy city is very valuable. I did not get a chance to visit but the kindness and goodwill was received. I do hope that they will allow me to return the favor if they make to Florida. Thank you.

Great location, even better hosts

What Maggie Said was more than we could ask for, A great location to get around lower mainland and the pull up spot was quiet and secluded. Trout Lake community centre is only a short walk away with heaps to do and the SkyTrain is a 10 minute walk.

What Maggie Said was so accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. We loved our stay and would happily stay again, or once we are settled have them stay with us.

Thanks for everything.

You'll have a peaceful rest under the big trees at this spot, and the kindest hosts you could wish for. A city oasis.

A quiet spot in the big city

These kind hosts made us welcome on short notice, and we were so grateful for the quiet spot! Very peaceful, close to Trout Lake Park, it's a gentle refuge for the weary traveller. HIghly recommended!

Quiet and safe night :-)

We spent a quiet and safe night at Tricias and her husbands boondocking spot, thanks so much again. It was very easy to communicate with her and the place was perfectly fine, only a few minutes outside downtown Vancouver. Great stay!

Good location, felt very welcom

We stayed at "What Maggie Said" in June and thorough enjoyed our stay.

It was exciting to hear about our host's travels and their future camping plans. We got a few vanlife tips that we will definitely use for future trips!

They live relatively close to a metro line so getting into the city center was very easy. We also biked a ton (they are about 25-30 minutes bike ride from the city).
