I was a Navy Junior, Navy wife, and still love traveling. We have lived here for 25 years on 50 acres. We did raise horses, and I raised sheep. I spin and dye wool, weave, and just lost my last ewe. I am still active, drive the tractor, and pull a 26 ft. trailer.
No expertise but I do spin, dye, and weave fiber. Knit a lot. And I had a 1 acre organic garden for years.
..Sassafras, my husbands Jack Russell born in 2010.
I have not yet Boondocked. There are lots of U S Forest small parks in our county. Hope to use a few soon.
As a Navy Junior I moved a lot as a kid, but spent high school years in Vallejo, California. As a Navy wife for his 30 year career we had 28 homes. We have lived here in Lakeview, Oregon for over 24 years. I call Lakeview 'My Mayberry'.
26 ft. '97 Jayco Eagle trailer pulled with a Lincoln Navigator. No slide-out.
Great spot overlooking Goose Lake. Very quiet, awoke to the gentle sounds of the cows nearby. Shirley Jo was very welcoming. Thank you for sharing your corner of paradise!
A exceedingly pleasant stay with toofar. After providing a nice campsite and electricity, Shirley Jo told.me about the sheep and cows in the surrounding fields. As I settled in for the night, i think the cows were drinking margaritas and singing and dancing until the wee hours. I would recommend staying with toofar to all boondockers.
Loved our stay at TooFar. Beautiful views. Our host was so nice and giving. πππππππ

Too far was a wonderful host would highly recommend the location
We enjoyed our stay. Host was very friendly and showed us where to park. She also let us know where to pick blackberries at in her backyard. Nice level spot on side of house. The view is fantastic! She even provided 15 amp electric There is water available to fill your tank. Thank you so much for the overnight spot .
We enjoyed our stay with Toofar. Our host was most welcoming. The view of the mountains and lake were a highlight at sunset. The blackberries were not only a favourite but also a bonus. Thanks for the cobbler.
Cheers - Gonetroppo from Australia
What a gracious host. all the animals were fun to watch and the scenery was gorgeous! Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed two nights at Too Far Ranch, and our host was wonderfully accommodating, she even made blackberry cobbler for both of her Boondockers. The views, and sunsets were spectacular and watching cattle in the valley and sheep right next door was soothing. We would definitely stay again, the area was beautiful and our host wonderful.
Our hostess was SO welcoming and generous sharing her bounty of blackberries. I was in heaven harvesting And eating them. We arrived in time to enjoy our supper outdoors taking in the view of Goose Lake and the sunset. We chose to assist her in trimming her wild rose bush to open up her sunset view. We look forward to a return visit in the future.
S was a dream host! We shared stories, smiles, food, and .....friendship :)
The Ranch is BEAUTIFUL!
Sheep, SUNSETS, meaningful conversation and smiles~
Thank you SOOOO much for the lovely stay and great conversation. I so hope we cross paths again soon!!!!!
Great place to stay, relaxing surroundings with beautiful views 360 degrees. Our host Shirley Jo couldn't be more gracious. Would advise anyone traveling on Hwy. 395 in So. Oregon to stay at this beautiful ranch.

A delightful stay with a really fabulous Host.. beautiful sunset gazing while watching the sheep grazing.
We were very grateful for our request β for one mere night at short notice after we had to change plans - to be accepted, and at a beautiful rural setting, like being in farmers fields! Many thanks for good previous communications, the facilities and lovely stay.
Wonderful conversation.... canβt begin to say enough, friendly, jovial, informative and very inviting. She loves her surroundings and lifestyle, itβs catching....
The gal has pazas!
Beautiful views of lake and mountains. Lots of birds. Shirley is very friendly and cordial. Even her dog is welcoming. Will definitely want to stay here again!
Our host was so kind. We enjoyed a few hours of visiting over tea with this gracious and helpful host. The place is beautiful too, looking out on the lake and mountains. Since it was snowing, she recommended we stay another day. Thank you!
My stay at toofarranch was short, but pleasant. The location is beautiful with lake on the west & mountains on the east, & plenty of room to stretch out. I would stay again.
We kept TooFar informed as to our arrival, she saw us settled & invited us over for fresh homemade apple pie after we had our dinner. We enjoyed her company & advice on routes, etc. Thank you for hosting us TooFarRanch..
We had a lovely boondockers experience at the TooFar ranch. The views were wonderful and our Hostess Shirley was a delight. We peppered her with questions and she willingly shared her story and the history of the TooFar ranch. And we got to pick fresh blackberries off of her bushes. Thankyou Shirley
The RV site was an easy in and out which was important to us as we do not have much experience trailering.
Horses, sheep, Larry Llama, apple trees, blackberries, vista views and a gracious host allowed us to relax and enjoy this part of Oregon. Thankful for a great stay.
What a wonderful host. It is too far. But. That is just how I love it. Lots of room has internet. Which is grand. And the phone works. Verizon. I love the wide open space.
Shirley was a fantastic host and the font of all knowledge for southern Oregon :) We had a great time and became firm friends and hope to stay in touch. The location was just ideal for a relaxing stay and facilities were good. Our host took us on trips and even showed us how to spin yarn ! There will certainly be some "yarns" to come out of our stay with the wonderful Shirley !
The hostess was great! Beautiful property, charming and friendly welcome. We were headed to Turpin Meadows Ranch in Moran, Wy. She wanted a report on the ranch, but I don't have her email.
Highly recommended, we had a lovely time. Michael/Joan Good
Thank you so much for hosting our family! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you!
What a wonderful spot in Lakeview OR on Goose Lake. The site is beautiful and the hostess Shirley is even better! Our first time trying Boondockers Welcome and weβre sure glad we did.Two choices to pick from to put our 45 foot rig. A great circular driveway and free range horse. After we got settled, Shirley joined us for a wonderful glass of wine in the sunshine overlooking her stunning property. A great visit about people and places and family and friends. A new friend made and a great spot found in Oregon.
We spent 2 nights here and had an awesome time! Right on the stateline with a beautiful park 2 milesaway. We were the very first boondockers here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a calm and serene place. You can hear coyotes at night and rooster in the morning and open the door of the rv to see goats walking around with their friend Llama! Overall perfect place! Sorry for the late review! Hope to meet again maybe in Pahrump!
We did not have a chance to stay due to personal circumstances, however I wanted to just provide a reference stating that they were prompt responding and accepting our stay request.
