Dale is retired military and Colleen is retired tour bus driver/guide. We're looking forward to enjoying our retirement with our RV, but we're not wanting to be tied down to schedules and campground reservations, so that's why the Boondockers Welcome club sounds so appealing to us.
Computer skills; particularly with Apple computers. Photography. Some experience with Alaska.

We have traveled mostly in the state of Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. We spend a few months each winter in the southwest mostly boondocking on BLM land.
Olympia, WA
We recently upgraded from our 1989 VW Westfalia to a 2019 Leisure Travel Van Unity which is built on a Mercedes Sprinter Van chassis.. The Unity is 25 feet long and sometimes classified as a B+, but technically it's a class C. We usually tow a 1994 Suzuki Sidekick 4x4. We have leveling jacks, but can use blocks to level if necessary. We're completely self-contained and as long as there is sunshine available we don't need to connect to power.
From the first second we pulled up at this beautiful lakefront retreat, we felt peaceful, welcome and at home. We can't thank Trekker enough for their wonderful, warm hospitality--they were even comfortable with our doggo running around their beautiful yard! We loved the tour of their rig--great conversation full of helpful tips! Highest recommendations, and hope to see them again on the next leg up North <3
We had a great night there. Very quiet neighborhood. We had some nice talking upon arrival. Thank You!
This was a great little spot in a residential area. The owners where are warm and friendly and exceptionally helpful. They also gave me a tip about an undeveloped county park nearby to walk the dogs and it was like stepping into another world. Lovely stay. Highly recommended. Awesome thank you
We had three excellent nights at our hosts, a quiet place close to places to visit.
We had not all visited and they offered to stay for another night.
Nice, friendly and respectful people with a great boondocking experience.
They gave us lots of advice and information.
We give them the best rating and hope to see them again during our travels.
Thank you,
Rachelle & Yves
Very nice quiet location goo start point for Olympic park. Very friendly
I stayed in the big side yard area under the shade of the mature trees. There is steady traffic on the main road but it isnt too loud or bothersome. Its the kind of neighborhood where most everyone waves when they drive by because everyone knows each other. The hosts have lived there a long time and are enjoyable to spend time with.
What a beautiful spot! We stayed one night on our way North and highly recommend. The street felt safe and peaceful and the site was easy to get into and level. We had some great chats with Dale and Colleen who were very friendly and accommodating. Thanks again!
We very much enjoyed meeting our hosts, super friendly welcome, and very knowledgeable about RVs.
Lovely location, quiet and close to I5.
Look forward to their return visit to us on Vancouver Island...
Both Colleen and Dale gracious and knowledgeable hosts. Conversed at length and ckd out their new rig.
Very nice and quiet.
Thank you again.
Tom
lovely couple. Very knowledgeable of the area. nice woodland walk close to the house. They allowed us to use their fire pit and let boys run around large garden. The Town is close by with laundromat.
We contacted Trekker on a bit of short notice, and she welcomed us with open arms! So very kind, and such a cool, refreshing place to stay. Great to make a new camping friend!
Our hosts were very easy to talk to and were more than willing to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to our next meeting whether it be on the road or when we pass through the area again. Thanks so much!
Wonderful hosts. Nice quiet neighborhood. Full timers like ourselves really appreciate you opening up your space to us. We Are truly grateful ! 🤗
Great hosts and so helpful! It is so nice we know we have a place to stay while I am dealing with health issues.
Trekker is like family now. We were so spoiled by these guys. If Trekker were the only hosts we met on BW, it would have been worth the investment. I'm not sure I've ever met nicer people. When we first got there, it was raining, so they invited us inside, and took the time to get to know us, and what we're all about. We are new to the RVing community, and these guys are the consummate professionals that we want to be one day. They are a wealth of knowledge, and want to help you in anyway they can. We want to be like them when we grow up. Don't skip by this host, because they don't make them any better.
We had a wonderful visit and would love for our paths to cross again. They are very kind, down to earth people who we enjoyed meeting and getting to know. They live in a beautiful area and it was fun to explore around. We feel lucky we met them and grateful for the experience
...and yes their rig is sweet.
These hosts put us up at the last minute and were extremely friendly and fun to talk to. They had a really cool VW pop-up camper van, we're thinking of downsizing to that now. We hope to run into them in Oregan during the eclipse. Thanks again!
Amazing couple to stay with. Excellent parking location, extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. While they haven't drove to Alaska in years, they gave us more useful information then any book could!
Friendly people, nice spot! We spent 2 nights and went to Mt. Ranier. Although it was foggy and we couldn't see the mountain, the park is nice and we saw a beautiful waterfall. We would highly recommend staying with Dale and Colleen!
I was just passing through Olympia - making a quick stop overnight. I contacted them and asked if they had space and they were very accommodating. They are super friendly folks and we had great conversations in the short time I was there. Wish I had more time as it was a great spot to stay.
Thanks so much for the hospitality!
Dale was a great host with directions, ideas to do things, and put up with us for much longer than we expected to be there. he went the extra mile and surprised us with State Forest Service information packet -- the reason we went to Olympia! We didn't get to meet Colleen as she was traveling. The site was level, quiet, and private.
We stayed with Dale & Colleen for several nights. The spot was very easy to get into & level. It was very quiet at night. They couldn't have been more kind & gracious hosts! Their spot is so great because you feel as though you are in the country, but there is great shopping (even a Trader Joe's!) minutes away. We stayed longer than we planned. It was so comfortable & relaxing. I hope we get to host Dale & Colleen next year when we get settled! A++ spot! Thanks so much!
Colleen and Dale are a fun and friendly couple. Their boondocking spot is quiet and flat with easy hookups. It would be a pleasure to stay there again.
We had a great night with Colleen and Dale. Dale lit a campfire and we sat round it with a bottle of wine and talked into the night. Not exactly sure what the men talked about, although I heard the word fishing more than once, but Colleen and I discovered a shared love for photography - her nature photos are wonderful! Then we slept really well on their level peaceful drive. Next morning they gave us lots of useful info about the surrounding area and helped us to work out the route for our forthcoming trip to Alaska. Great people, lovely place, thank you so much.
We spent only one night at Dale and Colleen's but they were so friendly and helpful that we wish we could have stayed longer. Their house is in a beautiful, green area, no problems with parking at there.
