Women in Tech World is a grassroots, volunteer-run organization that aims to empower, celebrate, connect women in tech of all ages. We are on a Canada-wide research tour to better understand and give voice to women in tech (and their allies and advocates) nationwide.
There are three of us on the road in our 1991 Winnebago Warrior, named Chitty Chitty Van Van - we started on Sept. 5th in Vancouver, and are stopping in 30+ locations coast to coast!
Vancouver for two of us, and Ontario for the 3rd.
1991 Winnebago Warrior mini (20ft), no slide-outs - fully decked out with Women in Tech World branding (pretty rad!).
Lovely people who were kind, polite and great company having a glass of wine in front of the fire. Good luck with your study!
We had the pleasure to host these girls while they were on the island doing the WITW tour. It was fun to share with them and learn about the endeavors they have been on while travelling across our great country. They are quiet and respectful, energetic and very well versed in the mission they are on. We wish them happy and safe travels and we hope other boondockers will be available to them on the rest of their journey!
We felt privileged to spend an evening with these three very enthusiastic, charming, and hard-working women last night. What a mission they are on! They've been staying in campgrounds and with friends and family so far - between BC and ON - but they don't have those same connections as they head east. Plus I'm sure most campgrounds will be closing after Thanksgiving. So please welcome them if they send you a request. I guarantee they'll be respectful guests and, what's more, you'll thoroughly enjoy their company!
