Greetings, (July 5,2012) in southern OK. Nearest Larger town Lawton. About 1hrs drive to OK city. Names: Charlene & Charles.
I am a 66y/o female. Retired after 25+ years as a Respitory Therapist. Worked the same Hospital all that time. Charles Retired from Retail management. Happy married for 7 years this last June 26,2012. I married my childhood love. Fell in love with him when I was 13y/o.
Travel in a Class A MH,2011, 34 ft. Fleetwood 'Terra' Have injoyed camping/RVing for 40 years. My 1st 'RV' was slide in truck camper. I didn't know a thing about RV/Campers. The camper was queen cab over and big. I bought it from a used car lot. It was on a 1/2 ton pickup. What a desaster! Going up hill was at a snails pace, wind would try to blow me over. We (daughter Desiree/Mom Janey both ow deceased) spent many happy trip going to Yosemite NP, and traveling around the country. I was very lucky when the drive shaft fell out of the 1/2T. We were close to home so i hiched back to town to the car dealers. I talked to the dealer manager (friend od my dads) and told him that I would buy a truck if he towed mom & desiree to dealer in the truck AND would have the truck all set up with my double battery sustem etc. He was most happy to do it, even keeping mechanics late to do it. Left on the trip at 11pm that night. As a child my vacations consisted of Dad driving as streight as he could from CA to OK to visit relitives. I think this type travel is what made me want a different style of travel. I have used tents/campers/ class C/pull trailer/5th wheel & now a class A.
I stay in nice CG to boondocking. I travel with my 5 furbabies(chihuahuas) My pet peaves is people that don't respect where they are staying and leave trash around and don't clean up after the dog. The ones that have loud music and party all night. Camp-fires that are left unattended, Kids that the patents let run wild at all hours of the day & night. What I do like Good "friends" in the CG that you can have over for coffee/ice tea (if they want to bring over a beer fine--as long as they aren't plastered). Getting together with other campers and having a pot-luck. Enjoy getting wet pool or lake/river. Have metal detectors that are fun. Staying where their is nothing but us(Charles-husband & myself...of coarse the furbabies).
We are on an extended vacation now.(save real hard to take it) It will be about 1 year long. Left home on 12/18/2011 and may get back home in dec 2012. I belong to several camping/RVing groups, which I try to stay up with while traveling(have Verizon Hot-Spot with 10GB.
I have a thing about hats, I have one for every occasion. I buy and then decorate with ribbon and flowers. I wear them almost every day.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Hard to say really. I have had all types of RVing can give suggestions of the RVs I have had.
I have a very good list of things new RVers need to look at when getting started.
Just a hodge-pog of info. When something is posted i give info if I know what to say. From the best way to set-up camp to how to reappostery seats and redecorate inside of RV to make it pretty/update things To the best way to clean a coffee pot, traveling with dogs. I even cut the DHs hair. I am always finding fix-it tips for RVs and personal things that help.
