Cecil is a retired fireman and truck driver. He loves to tell stories. Becky is a retired school secretary. She loves bird watching and kayaking. We both enjoy traveling and meeting new people. We have camp hosted here in Ohio.
Cecil has learned a lot about rv repair. I am good with directions and fun places to travel to.
Love traveling in northeast. We have been all over the US and like it all.
Washington Court House, Ohio
We have a Winnebago Minnie pulled by a 150 Ford pickup.
I just loved having this fun, appreciative couple for a couple nights!! They were entertaining and interacted and laughed all evening. Can’t wait to visit them in Ohio! Feel I made some true friends! Don’t ever hesitate to host these two!!!!
short visit, but had fun......welcome back anytime, safe travels
Lost track of how many times these fine folks have stopped by!
Becky and Cecil were wonderful guest. Becky joined me for a kayak trip on the Suwannee while Butch and Cecil had a good long visit. They will be welcomed back.
Butch & Judy
It’s like meeting old friends! Enjoyed our visit with them, and look forward to staying with them.
Cecil and Becky are good folks with midwestern roots. Welcome anytime.
Had a great visit. Lovely friendly couple. Unfortunate that the cold kept us from doing as much visiting by an outside fire as we would have liked but we know that they will return. Welcome back any time for any length of time. Lover their set up and now Grandpa wants a Jeep. Wish them good weather and safe travels as they are on the beginning of a year of FT RVing.
What a great fun loving couple. Gracious guests, we had such a good time. Hoping to see you this winter when we are also traveling.
C & B are wonderful people. We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. C has the best stories!
Our first Boondocker stay! Extraordinary! Accommodations were perfect, the Hosts very welcoming. Amazing home reflects their well lived life together. Great sense of humor too ! We will be back!
This is much more than a place to stay... it's a fun & memorable experience! Talk about finding THE best "fishing" whole!!! Spacious, full service, even helped by parking my 60' rig, beautiful private setting, ... I really can't imagine a better place to boondocks. Do NOT miss the tour!
This place is better than a sanctioned campground!! The hosts are so welcoming and generous. I hope they come and visit in New Hampshire next summer. Very cool home and people. Thanks again!!!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! You've really set the bar high for future hosts!
This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience and we truly loved it. They've created a peaceful area for camping, and the kids really enjoyed the tour.
We hope to reconnect if we pass by again.
This is one of our top places to stay. Very convenient off major highways but quiet and peaceful. You couldn't ask for a better site... Full hookup!!!! The hosts were so very nice, waiting in the driveway to direct us. We had as lovely chat in their beautiful home, sharing travel stories and experiences. Would love to stop again as we travel through their area.
Our hosts/friends will be seeing us again. Even if it’s out of our way we’ll get that way. If you get a chance to stop DO SO! The tour is a hoot. 30a power, sewer hook up and maintained, wooded walking paths. 5 stars all the way!
The owners are very friendly and have created a little oasis for Boondockers. 4 campsites, all with 30amp, 2 with water and sewer. All have picnic tables, a fire ring and fire wood. Some trails to walk through the woods. And lots of decor makes it very homey. Our spot #84 was shaded and quiet all night.
Our hosts were delightful! And soo funny! They’ve built their own private campground and it is adorable! Priority 1- You must meet this couple, and a stay at their place is a bonus! Thank you, Thank you!!
B and C are big hearted people who just want to see everyone that stays at their home be comfortable and feel welcome. Accomplished!!
From our beautiful site #84 to the many wonderful and interesting decorations and doodads we can’t say enough about how creative and fun these folks are.
Thank you for opening up Moose Lodge to travelers looking not only a safe haven as we travel but more opportunities to meet and make new friends like you! Hope to come back that way again in the future!
Evesings & Hiltonfiddles
The lodge is full of interesting conversation pieces. Our hosts were friendly and humorous with plenty of stories to share. The camp ground was functional, neat and covered with plenty of soft grass. We want to stay here if we travel through the area again.
Becky & Cecil are just great! A fine experience was had by all. Hope to catch you there again.
We enjoyed our time at Loose Moose Lodge. Our host were helpful and kind. They even moved their trailer for us to park in the spot, so we could have the RV dump spot. They brought us firewood and a picnic table. Quiet and relaxing, not far away from town for supplies. Would highly recommend The Loose Moose Lodge and if we are in the area again we will be staying
Our hosts weren't there until our last day as they too were out and about, but their friend was and he was such a kind host. Even offered me a ride to store and shopped with me even though I had a long list. Patient and kind to boot. We hope to return one day. The owners came home our last day and gave us a tour of their home and antiquities. Such a collector, it felt as if I was in a museum. Thanking God for a stop so fine. Blessings over all of them.
Great place to stop. Shaded and open spots. Water, electric and even a dump! Roger their friend greeted us. Friendly positive small town experience. Would visit again.
From expertly backing our 38 foot rig into the full-hookup site, to bringing by snacks and a refrigerator magnet, to giving us a personal tour of their home, these hosts were top notch in every way. The hiking trails and big grassy field were a treat, and getting to watch the Fourth of July firework show put on by the neighbors was icing on the cake. If you have the opportunity to visit here, you will not regret it.
Our hosts were warm, friendly and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the Loose Moose. From the quiet well equipped camp spot, and the warm welcome by our hosts to a tour of an incredible, beautiful and whimsical property, it just doesn't get any better!
Cecil and Becky have created an experience that is unique unto itself! The pictures don't do justice to this most beautiful and private, wooded 5-acre campground they've literally created from scratch amidst miles of adjoining farmlands.
Their sense of humor and attention to detail is all over the place, from the tiny elf village, walking/biking paths, signs that will make you cry with laughter, and collections of the most intriguing things you've ever imagined. And that's all before we even mention the actual amenities in each site!
Blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, we stayed in "site number 138", which was a full hookup in every sense, and could possibly be compared with the nicest site at a most exclusive campground. A huge grassy field, was the prefect place for stargazing, running around with the kids, and even some last-night fireworks, which they graciously allowed us to set off.
We can't say enough about these most incredible folks, whom our children now refer to as "Uncle" Cecil and "Aunt" Becky, and we are so grateful for their incredible hospitality. They added so much to our trip, and if you are looking for a colorful experience, you've just found the pinnacle!!
My overnight at LooseMoose was just perfect! Such a unique, relaxing place. The campsite had full hookups, a fire ring and picnic table. There were so many nice little touches everywhere and the hosts are very genuine and kind. The kind of people you would like to have as neighbors. Will definitely stay again!
This has to be one of the best places we have stayed. There were three sites, one of which handled our 40' 5th wheel. Was a beautiful place, lots of trees, a large field and so whimsical. Each site had water, electric, sewer, picnic table, and fire pit. They even had site numbers. What a fun place to stay. Hopefully we can come back some time when we don't have to social distance.
I'm not sure if we could have had a more positive experience than our stay with LooseMoose. We were greeted at at the road, guided into an incredible campsite and welcomed like family. We're looking forward to a return visit when some normalcy returns to the world and we can properly socialize!
Guest very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. The social distancing was in place so we didn't get to experience their lodge as they/we had hoped. We will return when that will be possible. Good backing skills will be helpful but the owner was also willing to put unit in place if you wanted him to. For you shoppers it is very close to the Jefferson outlet stores. Had a very comfortable two days and highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!
We enjoyed our overnight stay despite practicing social distancing. Our host assisted us getting into our camping spot. The fire ring and electric hookup made our visit very comfortable. We plan on stopping back when we can spend a little more time.
We were only with the hosts for two days but what a lovely couple. Lots of stories and what a fabulous set up they have for travellers. Highly recommend this place and we will be back for ‘Happy Hour’.
Easy to get to, great site and amenities and lovely welcoming hosts. What else do you need.
The host was very welcoming and a well-traveled RVer.
If I have a chance in the future, I'd like to visit again and have a chance to hear some of his traveling stories.
The site was easy access from the main road and the hosts went way above and beyond providing amenities for boondockers.
We spoke with some of the neighbors too, and they were really nice.
We were greeted with smiling faces. Very helpful on parking the truck camper. Invited us into their RV for a visit which we both enjoyed tremendously! Many stories, many laughs, would love to see them both again sometime in the future.
John & Carin
We had a great stay. The hosts were fun and knowledgeable. I'll be making my own campfire in a can to take on my travels.
Nice private spot to tuck in for the night after a long day’s drive. Was nice to know electric was available if I needed it, and hosts were VERY welcoming. I was running a day behind schedule, and would have loved to have spent some time getting to know Becky and Cecil a bit more. Maybe another time!
Thank you for having me!
I stayed at this location for three lovely nights. The hosts were out of town, so unfortunately I did not get to spend any time with them. I am a solo RVer and don't feel confident backing my rig into a space on my own, so the hosts arranged to have a neighbor come by and help me out! Super nice and helpful of them, and the neighbor! They provided full hook ups free of charge (!!!!!) and the space had a picnic table and fire pit! It was like being at my own little private campground, minus the crowding and loud neighbors :) I'd definitely recommend this space to everyone!
Great people with a very welcoming place. Next time the hot sauce will make it all the way into your kitchen.
Hospitality was over the top. Miamitrace invited me for dinner and cocktails! We sat a spell on the porch sharing travel stories. The magical gardens and wonderful collections in the house are not to be missed. Their creativity is fun and inspiring. I am so looking forward to coming back. I definitely will be coming back this way! Don't miss a chance to stay at the loose moose Lodge.
This place is amazing. Love what Cecil and his wife have done to make this spot feel like a home away from home. We cant wait to stop again on our way back home to Texas and share some more great stories. Thanks for having us.
Cecil and Becky are two of the most generous, interesting, and inviting hosts. You will really enjoy their handmade lodge, filled with incredible curios and collections of objects that will make you look twice. We look forward to visiting them again.
Miamitrace certainly knows how to make people feel welcome! We arrived and were invited right in for a lively evening of stories with thier friends, and dinner as well! Thier place is totally unique with a ton of stories behind it, we loved the tour! The trails throughout were much appreciated by us and our puppy! We do hope to be able to stay here again!
Love this place and hosts. We be returning every chance we get.
We stayed one day with our hosts and were invited to stay longer. We would have liked to stay but had to go home the next morning before the snowstorm.
When we arrived, Betty<s sister was waiting for us to make us comfortable before the arrival of our hosts who came to see us and invited us to their house to have a châtain nd drink peach wine. We discovered they are avid collectors of many things. As retirees, we discovered common experiences and we would have spent hours in discussions were not the lack of time.
We appreciated the three services they provided for our motorhome and the 10 acres to walk our dog.
Thanks again Betty and Cecil.
Most fun I've had in a while. Anyone near central Ohio who can should visit the lodge. And be sure and take the Tour! It will be hard for any hosts to top Cecil and Becky. I could go on, but you get the idea. I hope to make a special trip back.
We felt welcome from start to finish. Such wonderful hosts provided what we needed to be comfortable and spoiled for the night! They had a wonderful site for our rig. They welcomed us into their amazing home and we joined them for supper and a great evening. It was wonderful having some time to get to know them, hear about their experiences and get the tour of their property! Thank you for your hospitality and we're hoping to stop on the way back home and hope you come visit us! What an adventure... Cecil and Becky you are amazing!!!
