A creative couple! We're coming from a few months in Montréal — where Olivia was doing coursework in transcultural psychiatry — but have both been living and working in New York City for the last few years. Craig is a graphic designer/art director, yoga guru, and fabulous maker-of-salads, and Olivia was working for two years in the New York health tech startup scene, is interested in medical anthropology, and is a musician, a gastro-enthusiast, and storyteller extra-ordinaire! We are hitting the road in our van to work on documentary projects across North America.
We are both excellent cooks (if we do say so, ourselves!) and have a range of other skills between the two of us:
-Photography and video
-Website and graphic design
Since Bijoux has just entered our lives, we do not have favorite boondocking locations as-of-yet. However, we have a special affinity to Alberta, Maine, Arizona, and Baja California Sur.
Olivia was born in New York City and hails from the New York metropolitan area. Craig was born in Alberta, Canada and has lived across Canada and the U.S.
We have a 1984 Dodge Ram Camper Van. She is from Montréal and has been called "Bijoux" — translation: Jewel — since she was purchased in '84. Bijoux is bordeaux with white trim and is approximately 18 feet long and 10 feet high, class B. She was purchased in August of 2017, so we're working to revamp the inside and give her some of our own personal touches, but she is all set with a porta potty with small holding tank, propane, electricity, and water.
