Spent the evening visiting with Jim. We shared stories of our families and travels. He is someone we look forward to seeing again.
No fuss no muss. I was out of town when he stopped by. Followed directions and respected property. He is welcome anytime :-)
Jim came, said hi and left to go to his grandchild's birthday with the intentions of returning, but texted that he was staying where they were. He showed up the next day, we had a cup of coffee and he took off back home,. He was very nice, and very good about keeping me posted.
We saw Jim when we arrived. He greeted us and instructed us to park our RVs and trucks and helped us connect the water and electricity. We are very grateful to Jim. Jim also planted many fruits and vegetables and shared blueberries . He is a very kind host, I will remember him, thank you Jim.
I was grateful to be hosted at this site. Msservant was hospitable and helped with my troubled generator.
Msservant was a great host, helped us hook up and location is a great place close enough to the highway and close to Memphis.
Thank you for our last minute stay!
We did not get to stay here as we got turned around and our kiddos were traveled-out for the day. Thank you so much for being so accommodating and responsive! Hope you are feeling better!
Unfortunately after getting lost, we had to cancel our stay with Jim but we were able to connect via texting on our cell phones. Hope to meet him in person in the future!!
We stayed here for a few nights as we explored Memphis.
Host was very knowledgeable about the area and helped us find great free parking in downtown (Tennessee welcome center), some playgrounds for the kids and advised us about the sights we were interested in (sun studios, Graceland).
He had some great firsthand stories about the musicians in the area and we also got to play some music ourselves (host has lots of instruments!)
We really enjoyed hanging out with the host at the end / beginning of our days and are thankful for how he made sure we and our kids had everything we needed. Thank you!
Host and his daughter were VERY welcoming. Played music with us, fellowshipped with us, and even made us dinner. Will most definitely be keeping in contact with them and hope to stop by again soon!
We never made it to msservant as we had changed course and the address was 2hrs too far out west. However, we had a positive response to our request
So sorry for the missed opportunity. Thanks
I thought I already left a positive reference, but oh well. I had a super nice stay!!!! He was very warm and welcoming, as was his daughter. And we had the same kind of RV, so lots to talk about. And other similar interests as well.
We really enjoyed staying with the host. We stayed there for two nights, because we wanted to visit Memphis which is not very far away. The driveway is huge, so we did not have much difficulty parking our 30ft RV. It was a little difficult to get back out of the driveway, but the host was really nice and helped us with that. He also invited us for some soup. He is a nice man and we would stay there again if we were ever in that area again!
Loved getting to know "msservant " during our short stay. He is an inspiration to me as he has an open, kind, and loving heart. The property is right off of the highway and there is a train that can be heard close by. However, we slept perfectly fine and felt safe. Convenient location to Memphis. Visited the National Civil Rights Museum and Corky's barbecue. We were able to fit our Class C RV just short of 30' on his property backing up could be a challenge. We had to unhitch the tow dolly. Would love to stop by and visit Jim again.
Jim is such a great person to meet and spend time with. So many interesting subjects to share. Also very accommodating, I had requested 1 night stay at first and then needed 2 and he was able to get things fixed! Thanks a lot for a great experience of getting to spend time together.
Very welcoming host. Very friendly, had lots of advice on where to go in Memphis. We went in his house and had good conversation about his life and about our travels. It was a bit tight backing into the driveway with our 20' travel trailer, so be sure you can manage that.
Jimmy and his daughter were great folks to visit with. Even fed me! Hope to stop again next time I pass that way.
We had a very good stay with a great host and spent time visiting and exchanging stories. Recommend this stop to anyone passing this way.
We really appreciated Jim's incredible generosity. I had an opportunity to exchange some personal stories with Jim about his journey, and found he is a man of the heart, willing to help anyone he can. He volunteers wherever possible to support his community with the skills and capabilities he has developed over his long life. We were better folks for meeting Jim.
Just a note to anyone with a medium to large rigs. A boondocker member has to be prepared to back into Jim's driveway from the street. The property has nowhere to turn around. If you are not an expert at backing up, this property may not meet your requirements. I had to back out of the driveway and make a 3 point turn on the road outside the entrance to be able to back in, and I have a small teardrop trailer. It was a challenge, but with my significant experience with backup up, do-able.
Spent the night at Jimmy’s- he is very congenial and welcoming. We shared a great conversation and he showed me a bit of his area. Very supportive and knowledgeable! Would definitely stay again!
Enjoyed visiting and sharing dinner with Jim. We really appreciated being able to use the water and recharge up our batteries. He is conveniently right off the highway. I was able to get a good nights sleep using my ear plugs. Jim is a very hospitable person. Thank you for the stay.
Convenient to Memphis and surrounding area. Only 23 miles from Graceland. Our host was kind enough to let us stay even though he was away. Thanks for everything. Easy on and off the highway and the neighbors were very friendly. If we were in the area we would love to stay again! Thanks so much!!
Although the host was not at home we had a pleasant stay at his place. Thank you for the possibility to stay at your place.
We stayed at Jims 2 nites while we went to Memphis. Easy location to find, it was quiet despite being near freeway, we had elec hookup too. We missed meeting Jim but he said come anyway, so thank you for being so generous. We recommend this site
We had a great stay here and spent a very enjoyable evening chatting over coffee.
Jim is a great host, very knowledgeable and well travelled. He is happy to share his stories and experiences and took the time to really get to know us. His daughter brought over some cookies and He does amazing chili!!! Thank you for making us feel at home!
We had such great conversation I hated to have to go ! Hope to stay in touch and meet again .
Good spot to stop for us! Recommended highly!
Jimmy is a great host. Aims to please. We just could not fit our 30 foot rig in his spot. If you have smaller rig he's your man.
