We are a family of 4 from New Zealand, now based in Florida, who are traveling around the USA and Canada for 1 year.
There is myself, my husband, and our 2 daughters. My husbands job involves him flying around the USA, Canada and UK, Ireland most of the time and travels with us when he is not working.
We are interested in meeting lovely people who like to laugh and enjoy travel as much as we do! I am homeschooling my daughters and we look for learning experiences as we travel so to meet people who like to share information/history about your area is a bonus for us.
Our passion is meeting new people and enjoying the new experiences that comes with traveling and exploring. I have an interest in gardening, and Landscape Design. My daughters enjoy animals and finding great places to swim. We like biking, walks, and playing board games.
We are traveling in a 43 foot Prevost converted bus, towing our car behind on a dolly. So we would need a large level site to park when staying with you. We also have 2 well behaved smaller dogs who if need be can be kept inside the bus if you are uncomfortable with dogs.
We are on a journey and want to share it with as many people and have lots of new experiences over this time! We look forward to meeting you!
When we return to Florida we will be hosting to pay forward the hospitality.
We have been visiting Organic gardens and farms and working on them to learn more. So we have excellent gardening skills. Great with computers, well my 17 year old daughter is anyway! We are great cooks and generally can put our hands to anything and do well.
1 small dog, Tui. He is a rescue dog, 1 year and half old. He likes other dogs and is quiet social but is a little shy of people.
We have been traveling from Florida for 7months now on a journey which is for 1 year. We have come up the east coast of USA up to Canada via Maine and are now 3/4 of the way across Canada. So locations all over USA and west of Canada are what we are interested in.
Palm Harbor, Florida. We lived here for 1 year before travelling .
Our bus is a 1988 Prevost which is professionally converted to serve as our home for 1 year. There are no slide outs. We are completely self sufficient with water tanks, grey and black water holding tank, and generators for electricity if we are unable to hook up.
Mom and the kids were a joy to have here. They even went Square Dancing at our local club. Good people to host and they are welcome back here anytime.
We really enjoyed having them stay here. They are from New Zealand and we’ve never had anyone stay here from that far away. The girls were great; well mannered and polite as can be. We even let them do their home schooling in our house (their cell service didn’t work here). Only wish we could have met ‘Dad’: he was going to catch up with them after their stay here.
This wonder family was great. Loved hearing about their adventures. They were fantastic, courteous guests and are welcome back anytime.
Charlene and the girls were great guests. Our encounter enriched our lives! Thanks for visiting!
it was so easy to have them visit us in Austin. Since they are self sufficient, all we offered was a place to park on the street and wifi. It turned out we had a lot in common and shared time together with a potluck dinner and football. Looking forward to future visits and staying in touch!
I hosted mom and the girls for two nights at the end of December 2017. We had such a pleasant time together. The girls both actually jumped into the non-heated pool - their heads popped out of the water with a gasp - it was so funny. Mom cooked me a vegetarian curry meal - I love curry- and it was delicious. They are welcome back anytime. I loved their company and the happiness that they brought to my oasis.
Charudi and family were a pleasure to have at our home. They were respectful, fun, capable and independent.
Charudi and her daughters were delightful. Enjoyed their company for 2 days. Had home sushi one night then a fire and salsa the next night. Sam and I felt like part of the family. I suspect they may become Desert Rats at heart after their visit.
Super great family just out touring the USA and Canada. They ended up staying with us 2 nights and going to the covered bridge festival. Just down the road from us. We loved hearing about their adventures. I could sit and listen to that New Zealand accent all day long. They were very polite and the girls are so well behaved. Being vegetarian/vegan I’m not sure they liked my childhood memory of my grandmother killing chickens for a family meal. But they sat and listened but I thought the little ones eyes were going to pop out of her head. Too funny.
I would recommend this family to anyone and they are welcome back at anytime, for any length of time. We look forward to them finishing their travels and we can go stay at their house when their site is setup!!!!! We wish them safe travels and awesome adventures!!
Mom & the girls stayed with us for a couple on nights. They are talented and self reliant bunch. Enjoyed our conversations with mom and the girls and they are welcome back any time. Great guests!
We hosted Charudi for several nights. They were a pleasure. Our children enjoyed their very polite, respectful girls. We enjoyed conversation and some of our local things to do with them. Of course these three are welcome back any time at all-and maybe Dad can join next time! We will be looking you all up down the road-Florida is sounding good!
Charudi and her 2 daughters spent 2 nights with us. We enjoyed what time we had to visit with them. They were here doing the week so girls had to do schoolwork in the A.M. They joined us and fellow Boondockers for a campfire/cookout. Girls very helpful is setting things up and helping put them away. They are welcome anytime.
Kiwis! Means New Zealanders, recently relocated to the States. Traveling full time in a converted bus. Lots of fun, had mom and the girls in for dinner and great conversation. Dad arrived the next day. Really great people, would have been fun if they could have stayed longer.
After 3 days they became family, wish they could have stayed longer. My wife and I had a carrot cake for our wedding cake, unbeknown to them it was our anniversary and Char baked us a carrot cake, what a surprise. Safe travels and hope to see you in Florida
We had a great visit with Charudi when they stayed a couple of nights with us. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to meet Dad but Mom was great to visit with and both daughters were wonderful to get to know. We highly recommend them as guests!
