Members, OldGlory, traveling coast to coast for first time. Very nice young couple. Spent one nite. Wish there had been more time to talk with them. Interesting occupation!
Safe travels.
What a pleasure it was to have you two visit! Thank you very much for spending the time chatting with my wife and me! You are welcome anytime!
Could not ask for better hosts.
Right from the start of our request to stay they were so accommodating as they held off going on their own trip for two days to allow us to stay on our trip south.
They provided very helpful directions to find their home up in the hills and kept in communication with us as we travelled to their place.
After we arrived, they invited us for dinner with friends they had over.
We had good conversations which is how we learned these two are very hard-working people ....built their beautiful home on family land.
Their most special story is the deer they rescued ....her name is Baby and she is not shy around people at all.
Thank you for being such wonderful hosts.
Our hosts made us truly welcome and we had a relaxing, fun stop with our hosts.... and the cats.... and of course the wonderful tame deer that they have reared from very young :) Thanks go to them for their great hospitality !
Very hospitable couple in a gorgeous, rural setting not far from I-79.
Had a great time at OldGlory's spot ! A quiet spot off the beaten path ! Great couple !
This was my second experience as a boondocking guest and these hosts were tremendous. They provided very helpful directions to find their lovely home in the country and kept in communication with me as I made my way to their place. It was like spending time with long lost friends. We had a delicious shared meal and delightful conversation. If you stay with them you must ask them to tell you the story about Baby, their rescue deer.
My husband and I can't say enough about how much we loved our stay with Old Glory! They were so welcoming and accommodating, providing us a longer hose and 30 to 15 amp adapter (as ours needs to be replaced). It was our first time boondocking and their first time hosting! There are some hills, bumps and curvey roads to reach them on their one lane road. But we had no issues reaching them in our 39' RV with tow car. We loved the mountain views on the way there. They have outdoor cats and the friendliest deer, which was the absolute highlight for us!
Our only complaint is we didn't have more time to hang out with them. We certainly hope our paths cross again and at the least, we hope to stop by to see them on our next journey back through.
