I live in north eastern Oregon 6 miles from Wallowa Lake and the Wallowa Mtns. Retired May 2014. I camphost around the USA in the summers. I camp hosted in Seward Alaska, my first work camping job!! I continue to enjoy my travelling around and staying at many beautiful spots. I love nothing better than to sit in front of a campfire with a glass of wine after eating a great meal made over the fire in cast ironware. I look forward to rainy days so I can catch up on my reading or practice my painting while I listen to the sound of raindrops on the metal roof of my RV. I love to hit lots of small towns, meeting the locals, going to yard sales, taking long walks and doing some fishing in lakes and streams.
I've been tinkering around with cooking over the fire with cast iron pots and pans. Lots of amazing dishes have been invented and a couple of charcoal na nas too. I have been on my own for a long while and have become pretty good at figuring out how to do lots of "fix it" chores while out traveling in my RV. Most recently, I have been trying my hand at painting, both acrylics and watercolors*! I have no idea what I am doing but sometimes things I paint don't come out half bad! Other times, ...well.. Regardless, it is fun. Fun, Fun, Fun!! that is all I ever think about! Lol! I love being retired and free to roam!
I love anywhere near water and love to explore small towns and out of the way woodsy areas or deserts where I find a sense of peace and tranquility.
I lost my dog and though I'm not yet ready to get another, yet, I love being able to care for and interact with the pets of others!
I live in beautiful Wallowa County, Oregon in the town of Enterprise.
I have at 2002 30 ft Coachman class c motorhome. No sliders. I bought it on Ebay if you can believe that!. Had to fly to Florida to get it and drove it back to Oregon. It is everything I hoped for. I was very lucky!! I am pulling my 2017 Toyota Corolla behind me
This lady is a wealth of information. She's been back and forth and up and down across the United States workkamping, etc. She has stories upon stories to share. She's fun! She's a worker! And we are so glad that we were able to help her out in her time of need.
So enjoy listening to her stories about workkamping and her previous stays and visits elsewhere. Sure glad we could help her out when she needed a little kindness.
Campfire Girl's stay with us actually extended longer than listed due to some medical issues. We were so glad that we could help out a fellow RV'er.
Linda was a great host, she has lots of interesting stories to share and she made us feel at home.
