Enjoying retired life on the beautiful Olympic peninsula in Port Angeles. I have had several RVs through the years but recently decided to go the whole way and get a 40' diesel Dutch Star. I (And my little "Terrierist" Scotty) spend most of the winter in the sunny southwest visiting friends and family for the holidays enjoying it here in Washington when the weather is the best as it gets. On the peninsula it is mostly very mild and sunny from June through September when I enjoy short trips to the coast or nearby islands as well as Vancouver Island, Canada. My home is on an acre just outside of town, I have become a hobby gardener experimenting with roses and other plants seeing which will survive here. My property was once an apple orchard, there are still a few trees left that have the most tasty apples and a few cherry trees as well. LGBT friendly.
Having RVs for many years I have become pretty good at troubleshooting and repairing all the things that are unique to RVs.
All over the west coast.
Port Angeles Washington is a small friendly town of 19,000 people with lots of nice destinations nearby including the ferry to beautiful Victoria BC on Vancouver Island. It is an hour and a half ride and you can bring vehicles including RVs. My property is adjacent to the Olympic National Park visitor center on the way to Hurricane Ridge at the top of the mountain with breathtaking views for miles. Our town has regular cultural events with just enough shopping and great restaurants.

The location was great (right across form ONP Visitor's Center) but the best part was how nice Olypen was. So sweet and willing to answer any questions.
Olypen was amazingly helpful and accommodating! I had an accident in my toad and was stuck in the area while everything was worked out with my insurance company and collision repair shop. In the middle of all that, I had to fly out for a week. Olypen offered me a spot to park for the week I was gone even though he was preparing for his departure for a long trip and would be leaving home himself.
He made my unexpected challenges much easier to handle. THANKS OLYPEN! I hope to reciprocate when you find yourself in Colorado.
Olypen did so many wonderful things to make us confortable. We shared in wonderful conversations.. he gave great recommendations of things to see andwhen we had totravel east to Maine for my stepmoms funeral.. he made room for our rig. We would be glad to host Olypen. And we would stay there any time
It was nice getting to know Olypen and his dog Scotty! We ended up staying several nights and they were very welcoming! Perfect location to check out Olympic National Park too! What a beautiful place and we hope to meet again!!
He lives on a beautiful lot with plenty of grass area. Close to the visitor center and other areas of interest within the Olympic National Park, so it makes for a great home base. He was very nice and we enjoyed having happy hour each evening while the dogs played! We would love to return one day!
Visiting the Olympic Peninsula in the summer isn't that easy! But this Host made it a breeze! So friendly and generous! I recommend it highly!
We can highly recommend this boondock. Generous host and lovely setting. Saw A deer feeding on the lawn. We had a very pleasant stay.
Although Olypen is new to this hosting thing we felt immediately welcomed .
We had a great time and shared card games , restaurants and trips together and his location is just fantastic.
He is a real charmer and a very good person.
