We pull a 20 ft travel trailer and enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people. We are especially fond of finding spots to stay that are close to beaches and close to small towns. We like places that offer areas to walk, ride our bikes, or just relax. We enjoy the chance to learn about the history of an area and perhaps enjoy the local cuisine.
This coming winter we plan to head south from our home in Canada towards warmer climates and explore.
We have enjoyed traveling pulling first a tent trailer, then a R-pod, and now have a Prolite. We have been doing this for over 10 years now. In that time we have travelled throughout the Maritime provinces, Quebec, Ontario and the Magdalen Islands. We also have traveled across Canada in a 23ft Class C. A few years ago we ventured to South Carolina and Georgia, staying at state parks and boon-docking on our way.
At present, we have an aging Carin Terrier. Skipper has just turned 15. He has been a great traveller and continues to travel with us in our trailer.
We like to travel on the smaller highways through small towns, stopping by a picnic area or beaches.
We live in a small picturesque seaside community called, Hubbards on Nova Scotia's south shore. We live near a number of beautiful beaches and are not far from Peggy's Cove and the historic town of Lunenburg. As well, we are just a 40 minute drive away from Halifax City.
We pull a Prolite Supreme 2017 with 2 bikes on the back. Total length with bikes would be 24ft. It has 2 slides, one on either side, for a total width when they are open of 8ft 4 in. Overall height is 8ft 6in. Our towing vehicle is an SUV.
