We enjoy exploring new places and having the opportunity to meet new people. We are especially fond of finding interesting spots close to beaches orr small towns, where we can park our 20ft travel trailer for a night or two. We like places that offer areas to walk, ride our bikes, or just relax. We enjoy the chance to learn about the history of an area and perhaps enjoy the local cuisine.
We have enjoyed many years of traveling, first with a tent, then pulling a tent trailer, then a small R-pod, and now we have a 20 ft. Prolite. Our travels have taken us all across Canada, the Magdalen Islands and throughout the eastern United States. We have traveled across Canada in a 23ft Class C. We have also camped by tent in Germany, New Zealand and California.
Not at the present time.
We like to travel on the smaller highways through small towns, stopping by a picnic area or by beaches.
We live in a small picturesque seaside community called, Hubbards on Nova Scotia's south shore. We live near a number of beautiful beaches and are not far from Peggy's Cove and the historic town of Lunenburg. As well, we are just a 40 minute drive away from Halifax City.
We pull a Prolite Supreme with 2 bikes on the back. Total length with bikes would be 24ft. It has 2 slides, one on either side, for a total width when they are open of 8ft 4 in. Overall height is 8ft 6in. Our towing vehicle is an SUV.
Nice to meet our "neighbors" from NS. Our pleasure to meet them and share our love of travel with them and learn new things from them too. Gift of homemade bread was awesome. Looking forward to next time we can get together. Never been on a sailboat so it sounds very interesting!! Very friendly folks.
So many good things to say about this interesting, personable couple: respectful of your schedule, time, and, space; gracious; excellent conversationalists. We are so pleased that they chose to be our guests and, quickly, our new friends. Looking forward to meeting up again on their home turf in beautiful Nova Scotia.
What a warm reception, and so friendly. Sailon were very nice and helpful to us.
They give us much more then just Boondocking, we are very grateful to them.
We love their stories.

Loved this beautiful and interesting location, which is in an area we would not have otherwise discovered or enjoyed. Sailon represents everything that is best about Boondockers Welcome. We are so happy to have come to know them and grateful that they opened their home to us.
We greatly appreciated our stay. This was our first experience with Boondockers, but certainly not our last one. Thanks a lot to Terry & Cherie who went far beyond what we expected. Hope to see you again:)

I must apologise. When we returned from our trip in June I wrote a reference for this wonderful couple thinking it had posted. I am now aware it didn’t, my bad. We had a great stay at between the beaches. It is indeed near some of the most beautiful beaches. Sailon were very welcoming and we had an interesting talk and enjoyed hearing of their travel experience, learnt a lot.
Thank you again and hope to be back in beautiful NS someday.
Great spot! Welcoming stay and enjoyed conversation ... enjoy when teachers get together :) ! Loved the homemade granola! - recipe? :)
Thank you for taking my Boondock on short notice, truly appreciated! Got a chance to drive the area, look at listings, and go to the beach - crossing my fingers! Did my groceries at Sobeys which was great to be able to stock up on the way to camp (very close), my gas (where you directed me) ... and went to Peggy's. Very good location with tourist destinations, gift shops and amenities! Beautiful Gentle Nova Scotia!
hello from Big Pond thank you for letting us stay at your house and giving all the good travel tips.
We had a great time with Sailon and enjoyed the time with them. My wife and I are endorsing this wunderfull couple and hope to meet them again in the near future.
