I retired from teaching in Los Angeles in a bilingual classroom. Taught mostly 3rd grade, which I loved.
Though I thoroughly enjoyed teaching LA was difficult for me. Had to leave and move to the country.
Moved to Prescott, AZ for a few years but I need trees and green. The colors in the desert are magnificent
my need, all shades of green. I usually head for the mountains and rivers as much as I can. Not so much
an ocean person, though I lived close by the Pacific for a good part of my life.
For the last two years I've been helping my son, who is a single dad.
Now I'm taking off to travel the USA. Traveling with Buddy, my 24 year old Pionus (small Amazon parrot).
He's a sweet heart. We basically go where Spirit takes us. We're both very quiet. Buddy, a Pionus, is probably the only parrot breed who doesn't squeal constantly, so no noise concerns. He stays in the van always.
I am a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner so I spend a fair amount of time doing that.
Been traveling now since July doing some boondocking, wwoofing, loving the State & National parks. Really enjoying visiting with some wonderful, kind, generous, interesting people. Discovering that farm life probably turn out to be my new way of life.
