Retired older couple that loves to travel. We have been to 49 states and parts of Canada. We love nature, and quaint places. We like knowing about areas we are traveling thru, the people that are in area and interesting things off the beaten path.
We love exploring areas we visit. We preferred less traveled areas.
Have not yet Done any boondocking as we have traveled. Going to try it out on next vacation. Have hosted some campers and really enjoyed having them.
We are a self contained 20 foot turtle top van. Cream and maroon in color.
The hosts were very friendly and provided us with some history of the surrounding area along the train ride we took to Chicago. The property was well kept, clean and just outside of Chesterton. Close to the dunes national park as well as the train station. We also had some tasty food at the tiger Lilly cafe in Chesterton, they had vegan and traditional options that were delicious! This was our first experience with boondockers welcome and so far it has been worth the membership fee! Travelinglollyandpop was a great host, very accommodating and we would definitely visit them again if we come through the area.
Enjoyed 2 peaceful nights at Travelinglollyandpop's beautiful property. We had a warm welcome with helpful information of the local area. Took the train into Chicago also explored Chesterton and the National Lakeshore. Thank you Travelinglollyandpop for your hospitality, so happy we were able to stay with you. Dundee Girl.
We ran into some trouble on our trip and were delayed. They let us come in late which helped us out a lot on a bad day. The road was very quiet at night. There were train noises which I found soothing. We backed into the driveway which is longish but straight and wide and pretty easy to back into. Didn't get a chance to meet them, but will definitely stay again if we are back this way.
Thank you for your hospitality.
You where a big help to use.
What a beautiful sunset.
Hannah likes your yard.
We stayed two nights at Travelinglollyandpop's place and it was wonderful. Super kind folks with a beautiful piece of land. Kids loved being able to use their baseball goal. Thanks again! We enjoyed our stay.
The hosts were very nice people. We enjoyed sitting in the shade of the trees on a hot humid late afternoon. We are glad they are BW Hosts.
Our hosts were absolutely wonderful! They met us as we pulled up & helped us park. We visited a few nights and shared stories and experiences. They were extremely accommodating and generous. Their yard and home was beautiful and our kids loved playing in the wide open yard. We would stay here again if we are in the area! Highly recommended.
We had such a lovely time at this beautiful country setting. The hosts were beyond welcoming and gave us lots to information on the area. We loved the amazing gardens and the bird species visiting their property. The location is filled with many great places to visit. We loved visiting the National Seashore and nearby towns. We hope to return to this area to do more exploring and of course to visit with our hosts/friends.
We had such a lovely time at this wonderful oasis. In the country but close to many beautiful sites. The hosts went beyond welcoming and gave us lots of information about this area of Indiana. Had a great time enjoying their garden-filled property as well as visiting the nearby National Seashore. We hope to return to further explore this amazing area.
We had two delightful nights here with our gracious hosts. Nice level spot and thanks for the power. Hope to see you again.
