My husband and I have been married for a little over a year and are setting off on a road trip adventure before settling down and starting a family. We'll be on the road from Summer 2017 to Summer 2018, starting from Georgia and moving with the weather - North, then West, then South and back home. Our little, well behaved dog (4 years old, 30 lbs) Forrest is joining us on this adventure. He tends to stay close to mom and dad and loves everyone (especially children)! I'm learning guitar and yoga on the road, while my husband writes a novel and series of short stories. When we're not on the road, I work in public relations/marketing and my husband is a real estate attorney. We love meeting new people, spending time outdoors and learning new things.
I love to cook, write and am told I'm a great storyteller. I hope to add guitar and yoga to the list by the end of this adventure! My husband is also an exceptional writer, problem solver and can offer legal advice from time to time.
Quite, shaded, near water or with a view - those are our favorites, but we're not picky!
We're towing a Scamp 16' 2009 with a 2011 Toyota Tacoma (manual transmission). Nothing pops out, except for the awning, and we're equipped with solar panels and a small generator to use only as needed.
Nice couple with a truck and small tow camper. Unfortunately we had to wake them early in the morning to evacuate because of the fires! So sorry they couldn't have enjoyed our river and hope the rest of the journey went without so much excitement. They'd certainly be welcome back again should they find themselves in the area.
We hosted them for a few days while they visited friends in Seattle and also Mt. Rainier. We had a fine time chatting and sharing information. They were quite self sufficient and quiet guests who are welcome to stay with us when ever they wish.
Katherine and her husband and young dog Forrester showed up this afternoon. They so remaindered me of my wife and I as we started our almost 50 year odyssey of RVing. We stared with a VW camper "1965" in 1973. Katherine has the same exuberance we had. The road ahead is the adventure. If you have the good fortune to host them don't miss the opportunity, they will excite you to get back on the road. I hope you two never lose the thirst for adventure. And if you ever get back to BC you are welcome to stay, but with a family in your future you will probably be retired when you get back to BC.
We really enjoyed having this young couple stay with us for a couple of nights! They are very pleasant and very enthusiastic about their traveling and associated activities! We highly recommend them as guests and wish them the best as they tour the USA! Their doggie, Forrest, was a sweetheart, too!
