Marty and I have been married for 34 years and have 3 grown children. We have camped are whole married life and have instilled a love for camping in our children. I am proud to say they still like to join us. Marty is retired and has taken a part time job working in a carpentry class at the technical and career center where I've worked for nearly 18 yrs.. He worked for the State of New York in the Armory systems for 36 yrs. We are looking forward to extended periods of camping during school breaks and the summer months. Our first extended trip was last August when we made our way across the top of the US to the West coast and then back to NY through the middle states.
I am fairly knowledgable with the computer. Marty is a great "jack of all trades."
We have 2 medium sized Goldendoodles that we love! Copper is 3 yrs. old and Penny is 7 months.
We have not boondocked --YET!! But we have hosted quite often...and enjoy creating new friendships with our guests..both 2 and 4 legged ;)
We have a 2014 Forest River Sunseeker 3170 DS. It is a painted Class C that has two slide-outs and pushbutton awning and levellers. We also have a Tandem Tow Dolly that we sometimes use to tow a 2011 Hyundai Elantra and Harley Street Glide.
We were really pleased to be able to stay at Heartland of the Finger Lakes for 4 nights this June. It was very easy to set up and Deb and Marty were very gracious. They also had great suggestions about where we should go and activities we could do. Thanks for a great stay!
After several days of "tours" (Erie, PA, Buffalo, Niagara Falls and the Erie Canal), what I needed was peace and quiet. Deb and Marty's hospitality provided that, and then some. They had just returned from their own month-long RV trip, and still needed to buy groceries for their home! I spent two nights. We had a great talk, sitting in their RV out front of their home, on my second night--because I was "catching up" on many details of my life on my first day. Thanks for that opportunity, D & M!
The road in front of their home is pretty busy. Their yard is huge and park-like, with a school campus across the street, so plenty of room for me to walk my dog. Copper (their dog) is a delightful guy, too.
Deb and Marty are good, generous and thoughtful hosts. It was my pleasure to boondock with them. Thanks!
We had the most wonderful time at Deb & Marty's! They could not have been more warm and welcoming! Truly kind people, as well as their sweet guy Copper!
We stayed 2 nights and had everything we needed - electric hook-up, beautiful large park-like yard to look out on and let our pup run and play. Close to Geneva for a great dinner at La Mia Bella Sicilia, wineries, breweries - it was ideal! Thanks so much!
