my husband and I hope to spend some time traveling to visit family. we have tight budgets and don't care for the "rv resorts" or their expensive sites. when not traveling we love to boondock at a nearby national forest so not have amenities is fine with us. we do have 2 tiny dogs, an 8 pound toy poodle and a 4 pound chihuahua and we HATE when people are not responsible pet owners, especially in places they don't own! we also sometimes have a grandchild with us.
although we can't offer a trade because we live in a mobile home park with strict rules about rv's (including not parking our own on our lot) we would certainly be appreciative and respectful of others who might allow us to spend the night on their property.
we have a 1985 toyota travelmaster savannah. it's 20' and fully self-contained. it has no slides and takes up little more space than a family mini-van. it has a/c but we've never used it. it is a little "nest" and we have done a lot to the inside to make it as comfortable for us "old folks" as we can make it. one day we hope to repaint the exterior but right now it is as it was originally done.
