John was a civil engineer, Alexia was a marketing manager, but we decided to take a leave from work to go traveling with our two girls, Ella and Maya, and our dog Leo, a friendly Chow. We finished working in May 2017. We have a 28 foot long travel trailer that we pull with our SUV. We enjoy cooking, hiking, running, and exploring the outdoors. One of our goals for this trip is to explore all 50 states and most of the Provinces of Canada before we head into Latin America. We have always enjoyed traveling and have been to 50+ countries in the world. Alexia is French, John is American. We speak english and french and conversational spanish, which we aim to improve in Latin America.
We are pretty handy and Alexia is a fantastic cook.
yes, we have a dog, Leo. He's a friendly chow that's very laid back and easy going.
We are heading north from Rhode Island into Canada for the Summer of 2017. Previously, our RVing experience was a 3 month trip from San Diego to Panama.

Very nice family. I would highly recommend them as guests. It was a pleasure to host them.
Very nice family. Enjoyed talking with them and hearing about their traveling experiences and learning about their family. “Leo” is such a gentle dog. Sure hope they can stop by again sometime to catch up on their travels. Glad they stopped by. Wish them happy travels.
Enjoyed this family very much. Sweet children and dog. Very respectful guests and loved hearing of their family adventures...a great idea to travel before the kids start school... welcome any time
We hosted John and Alexia and their two kids. Fun visit. They can come back any time. I enjoyed hearing Alexia and 3 year old Ella conversing in French! That doesn't happen very often. Nice family.
We enjoyed this family while there were here. They are welcome back anytime.
McTravelers are a wonderful young family truly embracing the full time lifestyle. I enjoyed their time with us and learning a little about their family and their plans. I hope they make it back our way sometime in the future but I feel like they have so many adventures ahead of them that they may not "look back" for some time. You would be doing yourself a favor by hosting this family.
What a wonderful family who are turning things "upside down" and taking advantage of travel while in their youth and before their children get caught up in school, sports, and all those other extra activities. We enjoyed hosting them very much. They are very appreciative and respectful. Hope to see them again someday.
We had the pleasure to meet and host this family and their very quiet, sweet dog. We had some really great visits and were fascinated with the travelling adventures these people have been on. Truly a delight to have around for "boondocking", we hope to find them back in our area someday or perhaps we will meet again on the roads out there!
