We were boaters for 10 years and have navigated on the Rideau Canal, the Ottawa River, the St. Lawrence River, the Trent-Severn Canal, the Lake Ontario and the Georgian Bay. Before boating, we had a tent trailer for 2 years and would camp mostly in provincial parks in Ontario and Quebec.
In 2017, we sold our 29-foot long cruiser and started travelling with our new class B motorhome. We are now looking forward to visit all provinces and states!
Our new RV is perfectly suited for boondocking. It does not have a generator, slide-outs or levellers but is equipped with four solar panels and two batteries. This means that we do not need electric hookup.
We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, nature scenic trips, back roads and small towns. In our motorhome, we usually carry two inflatable kayaks and two folding bikes.
Denis, amateur astronomer for 40 years, is travelling with one of his telescopes. He enjoys sharing his
night sky knowledge.
Nathalie loves cooking healthy meals and trying new recipes as well as making healthier versions of recipes. She is also a photographer enthusiast and loves trip planning.
No favorite locations as we are just starting our RV trips.
We live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

We said we would host provided they share photos of Newfoundland which they did. But not all seven thousand! They would make super travel guides - so passionate about what they experienced. Their photos of icebergs and puffins are worthy of National Geographics.
We had a great visit with Denis and Nathalie, talking about their well researched plans for several weeks in Newfoundland. Learned a lot about our night sky and Ontario’s canal system. A most enjoyable couple to have visit.
We had a delightful visit with our first guests of the season. They came bearing gifts! We shared our love of travelling on land and on the sea. They are a friendly, interesting and respectful couple giving us the notice we ask for and arrived when they said they would. We hope they will stop in again with tales of Newfoundland.
Two Nice peuples to meet and chat with- it was most informative to share our RVing expérience - We hope to welcome them again- Jean Pierre et Jocelyne
Unbeknownst to all of us at the Boondockers Welcome booking stage, we found out that Denis and I worked together many years ago.
Denis and Nathalie have a wonderful Class B RV that is equipped to truly be 'off grid' - so they didn't even connect to our electricity!
We shared some memories and gave them some hiking destinations and fossil beds nearby - they sent us photos!
They very kindly left us with a block of cheese made close to where Denis grew up in Eastern Ontario.
I'd recommend Nathalie and Denis to any prospective hosts! A wonderful couple. They are welcome back at any time!
One thing we love about hosting is that even when we aren't on the road ourselves we can hear about our guests travels. These two were traveling home to Canada after viewing the eclipse. They were so kind to share their stories, their astrological expertise, and their delicious Canadian beer. Seeing craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn, and the moons of Jupiter through their telescope was a real treat for us and our children (and our OTHER Boondockers Welcome guest we had that night!). We would welcome them to stay with us any time.
Hosted this wonderful couple for two nights and enjoyed visiting with them. Look forward to seeing them again.
