We are Bryan and Lisa--retired teachers from Wisconsin with a passion for exploring. Biking, cooking, local festivals, farmers markets and calm water kayaking keep us busy. Having just celebrated our 2 yr full timing anniversary, we describe ourselves more as "travelers" than "campers". Our 12 year, very calm and friendly Lhasa-poo, Beamer, has agreed to join us on our journey.
We have 2 adult daughters who graduated from LSU and live in New Orleans, so we enjoy good local , but not necessarily fancy, food. Ironically, As we travel through this country, we consider the folks we meet to be like a bowl of jambalaya---unique and full of individual flavors...but thrown all together, they sure make something fantastic!
We look forward to meeting you on our journey and thank you in advance for your hospitality.
We are do it yourselfers. We have remodeled 5 homes. Unfortunately, we are not nearly as skilled at vehicle mechanics. Lisa grew up on an apple orchard. Bryan taught computer skills. We garden, we cook and we just finished 8 months of nanny/tutor for 3 elementary age children.
The only places we've boondocked are Walmart parking lots. Nothing wrong with that, in fact we have some funny stories to share. Just looking for more options. Love the upper peninsula of Michigan, Apostle Islands and Bayfield in Wi, Natchez MS, Flaming Gorge, CO, the slot canyons of southern Utah, and most recently the small towns in Ventura County, CA.
We are from Waukesha Wisconsin, about halfway between Milwaukee and Madison. We cheer for the Packers, Badgers and the LSU tigers. We miss our Wisconsin supper clubs and a Friday night fish fry, but not the snow and below zero temps.
2003 Damon Intruder Class A. 37 ft. 3 slide outs (2 in bedroom) 1 in living room. Not necessary to put out both bedroom slides. Remodeled interior to match our needs--practical, not fancy.
