We have one child left at home and 3 adult kids with partners/spouses. We both work full time opposite shifts and like to get out on the road when we can in our 97 Rialta.
Videographer, Mac guru. Good listening ears and conversation. Love conversation.
We have cats and a small dog in the house. He's a little barky and jumpy when excited, but friendly if you encounter him in the yard on business. He will sometimes travel with us.
Still need to get out. We've been sticking close to home due to repairs and travel abroad, and this year is just a wash. :(.
Watson is very small! There’s a C-store and a bar (as of 8/20, due to COVID, bar is closed down and doing reno, C-Store is open but hours flux a lot). 5 miles north to 2 state park dump stations (upper and lower campgrounds) and bait shop or 6 miles south to city park dump station in the next town, where there’s a Walmart, fast food, bars and a grocery store.
We have a 22' Rialta that we love to take out and about. We have had several of various sizes over the years.
Quiet spot on the backside of their house. Easy back in off the side street. Needed a little wood to level one corner in the grass. Fast wifi. 30 amp power. H20. Hardly knew when anyone was home. Couldn't have been any better.
The location is convenient, a few blocks off the highway, but quiet. The homeowners greeted us and helps us figure out which spot is best for us. They also let us use the WiFi, it was very helpful because ATT was one bar.
A gas station was just a minute away.
Thank you for hosting us! :)
We've been pushing our travel schedule rather hard and for the last several days we've been just behind the nasty weather (that was a huge blessing). We needed a quiet, peaceful afternoon/ evening. We so enjoyed Casa del Goose because they provided just what we needed. We would love to stop here the next time we come through. (We just hope it will not have rained heavily before we stop again; we feel so bad about the deep ruts we left behind due to the soft, rain-soaked ground.)
Having totally messed up dates on my calendar we were able to let our hosts know we were indeed arriving...but a day later than we'd requested. Gracious and welcoming we were shown our site at the edge of their yard and spent 3 nice quiet days and nights. Since the 30amp outlet was inaccessible we were able to plug in to their 15 amp outlet which was lucky as our solar panels weren't getting any sun. The weather did not cooperate for our planned kayaking but we were able to get over to Lac qui Parle SP and a visit to Montevideo where we toured the Milwaukee Road train park. A nice visit on the last night with the couple.
Small town with bar with food. walking distance. Easy stop for overnight. Georgette wasn't home when we arrived but she left good instructions.
Its a great little town. The neighbors are close, but privacy wasn't an issue. It was a pleasant and relaxing stay. Everything went well :)
Thank you Georgette for welcoming us and sorry for having to leave so early.
We spent a good night at your place.
Best Regards,
Estelle, Éric, Margaux, Emy
We spent two very pleasant days at our hosts in the charming little town of Watson, MN. Upon their recommendation, we attended the Chippewa County Fair in the nearby town of Motivideo. Some fun! Thanks for a peaceful, relaxing stay, gettejones!
