I Steiph was a commercial photographer in one of my previous lives, and am currently masquerading as a Quenticential Renaissance Man, Master Alchemist, and Most Majikal & Wonderous Wizzard. I still enjoy Photography, fine woodworking, woodturning other artistic endeavors. I am also a Ham Radio enthusiast, WB2PSB, and carry a "Shack-In-The-Box" in our RV and try to use it as much as time and wife will allow.
My lovely wife, Jenna, "The BOSS" and clearly "Better Half of Me", was an Accountant in her former life and likes to read voraciously and enjoys creating original designs in Silver Jewelry. She enjoys traveling and seeking out those things that must be seen and done along the way. Shopping, Museums, local Culture and Architecture, Art of all kinds and interesting "food finds". We're gonna try and hit some of those "Dinners, Drive In's and Dive's" we've seen on TV.. or as much as our bodies can handle without too many catastrophic or deleterious effects.
I am a MacCentric computer person & have worked as a Mac Consultant in the past. Recovery & Maintenance software and home network installs. Also extremely handy with a mechanics wrench. I've done most of the "mods" on our RV and could advise and assist others. I have worked as an electrician, carpenter, Professional Photographer, Plumber, Wood Artist and so much more...! Growing up on "the Farm" I pretty much had to know how to do almost everything, from planting & harvesting crops, to Animal Husbandry and all things in-between.
So... if you have an issue with almost anything... I might have an answer or solution... and of course, always an opinion. ;-D
Jenna - Recently retired from a long career as a CFO @ a Not for Profit orgainization, providing funding for VA Medical Research & Education. She also is certified/registered with the IRS and provides TAX accounting and year end Tax Preparation for individuals and some small businesses. So, if you have TAX questions or need a incredibly HONEST and qualified Tax Preparer... she would be happy to consult with you.
We look forward to discovering as many wonderful locations as we can in the future... we will venturing out full-time early Summer and hope to continue as long as our bodies are able.
I really enjoy the BLM in Arizona and our annual trip to Quartzite for the Quartzfest Ham Radio, week long event. Nothing quite like the desert spring in Jan & Feb.
Our current HOME is Decatur GA, though of course we are not, "from here". Jenna grew up in Mich. and I grew up in Iowa so, I guess we are both "Mid-Westerner's" of a sort. We have recently renovated our driveway and now have enough room to be a HOST so, if you are in our area and would like to stop by for a day or two.. check us out.
We have a 2015 Itasca 30T by Winnebago, and our TOAD is a 2012 Honda CRV. Three Slides, two up front, opens up the dinning / LR space and rear Bed Room that has a walk around, full size Queen Bed.
We really enjoyed Mr. Zargon’s visit. He was full of knowledge and experiences RV-ing. So happy we decided to become a host home.
He was courteous, clean and a pleasure to talk with.
There are some folks that you wish they could have stayed a little longer. Catch me on the flipside.
Zargon is a really nice guy. Had a really nice evening with him. He was very helpful with my setting up a new Ipad.
Zargon is always welcome at my place.
Zargon was our first guest; we learned a lot about hosting and other things from him. He was very patient with the process of adapting our property to meet his needs. He was very computer savvy and was willing to teach us about our new Macs.
We had the opportunity to host Zargon on his way through Dallas heading to Quartzite. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to meet Jenna due to her having "the crud" and fearing it was contagious/. I invited Steve in for a visit and found him to be super friendly and easy to talk to. He also got a thumbs up from all 4 of our pets. I'm adding Zargon to the list of guests who have reinforced our decision to sign up as a host...Our lives have certainly been enriched by meeting so many friendly folks with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests.
I had quiet and enjoyable stay at Planet Zargon. He and his wife are super hosts.
There is a 30A power connection but make sure you have 50' of extension cord. There is also a water spigot.
The location is very convenient to I-85 and I-75.
I stayed just one night but wish I had more time to talk with Planet Zargon as he has a wealth of knowledge about RVs and solar.
I would definitely recommend this boondocking location and I would stay again.
Zargon hosts were very accommodating and even helped my husband with getting parked. We ended up staying during a VERY hot day and so glad they had hookups! Very pleased with our stay. Thank you!
Zargon was so hospitable - he helped us get set up in his spacious driveway and showed us how to get to the park and walking path right across from his house! The park and the path are GREAT for dogs, and so is his whole neighborhood! I felt very safe there. It is a quick and easy drive to downtown Atlanta.
Overall we are very appreciative of Zargon’s generosity - he gave us 30amp and water hookups and checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay, even offering to let us stay an extra night. I would 100% recommend Zargon’s place to anyone looking to explore the Atlanta area! Thank you again for having us, Zargon!!
