Gotta love a guest who's a good sport and fits right in!
We had planned to attend the monthly dance at our local Legion so we invited Bob to come along. There's always a shortage of single men there so, as you can imagine, he was a hit with the ladies. And a hit with us too - we had such fun. Come back any time Bob. Who knows what we'll try to talk you into next time!
I had a wonderful stay here it was a safe quiet and very comfortable place to stay there's plenty of restaurants within a few miles and Nashville is only a like 40 to 45 minutes away so it was all great you couldn't ask for a better host and if you decide to go by Bob you will really enjoy yourself thanks for everything Bob have a great day
What a cute little town so close to Nashville. Bob was a great host. He showed us the site and hookups, gave us the low down on the town and then left us to enjoy ourselves. Explore this little town or day trip into Nashville. Best of both worlds.
Bob is one of the friendliest, unassuming gentlemen I’ve ever met! Thanks for a great stay! Hope to see you on the road again in the future!!
Bob's place was our last stop before we headed home. Bob was such a sweet and humble man. He was there to meet us when we arrived and got us settled in to our spot. He shared with us some great local places to eat. We took one of his suggestions and had some of the juiciest burgers and ribeye steak sandwiches we've had in a while! The spot where we stayed was level and we enjoyed a peaceful night. He provided 30A service and a place to dump and top off our water before we left. We would love to stop by his place again one day if we're in the area! He is what makes BW special.
A very nice, quiet place to stay with a kind and generous host. I would stay here again.
We spent the might at Bob's and he was very kind and helpful with information about the area.
The sight was very level so didn't need to spend much effort on that.
The location was great for our purposes.
Thanks again for being a great host!
Bob made us feel very welcome. The location was level, safe and quiet. We were sorry our hectic schedule did not allow us to spend time visiting with Bob. We hope our early morning departure wasn’t too disruptive. We would definitely stay here again if we pass through and recommend this host.
Host met us, explained everything and was very helpful. There was only one train in late afternoon so that was no bother at all.
During these troubled times it’s nice to have a host that helped us out. Quiet (except for an occasional train), level place to park. Nice town, nice people. We wish everything wasn’t closed down, we would have liked to look around a lot more.
Host was very helpful about places to order take out locally. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return here if we pass this way again.
Level, firm gravel grass mix spot to stay. All in all one of our favorite BW stops.
This is our 2nd stop at Bob's and it was just as great as the first time. I'm glad we had the opportunity to meet Bob this time - and explore the area more.
It's a short walk to a great cafe (we ate both a dinner and breakfast - very reasonably priced and GOOD!)... an adorable candy shop with delish toffee and pecan products... and a library with a children's area. There is also a small grocery store and gas station near by. We enjoyed taking the drive in to Nashville to visit the Adventure Science Museum (GREAT if you have kids or just love science!) and also visited Andrew Jackson's Hermitage.
The weather brought us some snow and freezing temps, and we're grateful for being able to extend our stay for a night to avoid driving that snowy cold day!
Thanks Bob!!
We had a lovely time chatting with Bob when we arrived and again upon departure. His spot is nice and level with plenty of room to move. Plenty of amenities nearby and only about 15 minutes from major stores and restaurants.
Hoping we catch up again somewhere in the Southwest this winter!
Bob was a wonderful host and very helpful. He helped me get set up and checked on me in the morning to make sure I had stayed warm the night before. Would definitely recommend staying with him!
This was a very convenient spot to get in and out of. It is right near the train tracks and the road in front can be busy at times.
Bob is awesome, the full hookups were a special treat! (Yes dump too!!!!)
We went into Nashville about an hour away and also enjoyed getting to meet Bob and other of the small towns residents!!
Bob was a fantastic host. Great location in a lovely little town. Highly recommend if you’re passing through or staying to explore.
Bob is a wonderful host, there if you need him but giving you plenty of space. We enjoyed talking with him about RVing and general stuff. This was our first trip towing a travel trailer, and the spot he provides was absolutely perfect for us to learn the ropes, with an easy hookup for 30 amp shore power, city water and sewer, on a nice, level spot. Although it's within earshot of a two-lane highway and railroad tracks, by 10 PM the highway was quiet and during the three days we were there, there were only two trains. Didn't get a chance to try out the Mexican restaurant, but the pizza at Nona LIsa's was delicious and the diner serves breakfast 'til 11:00 AM. We also got a big kick out of going to the drive-in theater -- the first time for either of us, in many, many years! We highly recommend this host and this location.
We had a great visit - location was perfect and though we (unfortunately) did not get to meet the host, his directions were clear and helpful!
Grateful for a location with water, electric, and sewer!
I am at a loss for words at the kindness Mr B has shown myself and my family. Just genuinely a kind person.
As far as the location, we love the nearby downtown area. It always seems like the definition of small town America.
Very nice host. Was waiting for us. And made sure that we got settled in. Including a short visit. we didnt. get to visit much. We spent most of our time in Nashville. BOB S is a great place to do from. Thanks. So much.
Beautiful small town USA that folks should visit. There are a few historical buildings and places to shop. The area is a great location to rest up after a long trip. Highly recommend going to the local coffee shop and visiting Jim's antique store.
Just to give a frame of reference, my mother is terminally ill and in hospice. When I saw how much it would cost to fly my family I decided to pack the RV and head out. I placed a request with the host and he immediately responded with the details. We had planned to arrive before nightfall but traffic jams had other ideas. We called and he advised that it would still be possible to come and even was there to help us hook up. The next morning I was well rested and went over to thank the host and we had coffee and chatted for a bit. He is the nicest person and the coffee was just the kick I needed for the additional hours ahead of me. The town has history and would be a nice place to explore and learn. I highly recommend this host and location!
Everything was great, the host, the town, the space, and most importantly the timing. We had last minute holiday plans fall through and we’re in a bind booking a site over a holiday weekend. We were so blessed to have this host open his door (so to speak) to us. We will definitely be back if he will have us. There are some other activities in the area we didn’t get a chance to do while we were there.

This location is in a great location in a cute little town. We didn’t get to meet our host, but everything was as he communicated. The location is as neat as a pin, and walking distance to a really good little Italian restaurant. We highly recommend this spot and host.
Enjoyed a 2 night stop. Location was quite and with 4 restaurants, a laundry mat and a Dollar General within 2 block walk it was great. Thanks Bob for the electric and water.
We needed a simple overnighter on our way home from Florida. Although Bob was not in town, we had no trouble finding it and hooking up. Thanks, Bob!
Bob was out of town ,told us we could still come. The pizza lady said he is a good guy .The pizza place is great . We had the $16 bomb with ranch sauce . Wow it's worth the trip just for the pizza.
Great stay. Railroad buffs would love it. (for those who are not buffs we only had one train in 3 days but it was the best looking train that I have seen in a long time.) It is a hike to Nashville but that is what toads are for. Eating places are within walking distance.
Spent 2 nights at Bob's and enjoyed it. I met Bob on the second day and he was a very gracious host. He provided water, electric and plenty of room. It is a very short walk to a very cute downtown. FYI, the road is quite busy. Folks around here jack up and soup up their trucks. While they are not as loud as Harleys, it is not for lack of trying.
This is our first stay using Boondockers Welcome and it was a wonderful experience. I was not sure how it would work but our host made it so very easy. I put in my request and he answered me as soon as he got it. He also phoned me to see if I had any questions. He gave detailed instructions as to where to go and to use the electricity and water hookups, which we thought was a bonus! You see he was out of town the time that we wanted to stay. He was very kind and still welcomed us. I just wish we got to meet in person. Maybe one day our paths will cross.
Bob was extremely polite and the spot was great. Unfortunately due to some local bad weather we decided to leave early. Bob can't control the weather lol.
Shared travel, RV tips, and great stories. Great host the
This is so convenient to everything. Really cute town center, lots to see and do.
Enjoyed the stay, missed meeting the host however.
Bob was a great host, very quick to answer our request and even answered quick concerning our updated plan. Great host, great level site with great amenities. Highly recommended.
Bob graciously hosted us at his place in Watertown Tennessee. There was plenty of room for parking and it was only two blocks from old town where we had dinner at a local pizza place. This was a special treat since the first Sunday of the month local musicians gather here to practice and play their music.
We stayed with this host last year also but did not get to tour his beautiful historical B&B. He was gracious enough to give us a tour this time which we thoroughly enjoyed. He is a very talented man. As a fellow Roadtrek owner we had a lot in common to talk about. He was very helpful in getting our vent repaired. We had the same issue. Excellent site to stay at.
We had the most pleasant stay at Bob's in Watertown. Bob is a kind host and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with him. Bob made us feel welcome and right at home right away. He made a wonderful recommendation for dinner at a fantastic restaurant (Nona Lisa Pizzeria) which was a very short walk into the town square. Bob could easily be the mayor of Watertown if he wanted. He is the nicest, most pleasant guy you could meet. We'd also like to give a quick mention and thank you to the guys at the business next to the boondocking property. They got us in and settled and were fun to visit with. Everyone we met in Watertown was incredibly warm and welcoming and we can't wait to return.
We were only able to stay with Bob one night, but we had a great stay. The town is charming, we went out and had pizza at a local joint. The boondocking spot was easy to find and Bob was very helpful!
A nice place to stay for a night on our way west. We were not able to meet Bob as he was not home when we arrived. But we did talk to him several times on the phone. A Neighbor helped get us settled in. The people in Watertown are really friendly and we had a nice meal at one of the local restaurants. He has a nice class B Roadtrek so he is a fellow
Road Trekker. We Hope he will come visit us in Abingdon.
We arrived when Bob wasn’t yet abailable, but no problem: we were friendly welcomed by the guy in the workshop. A lot of space is there. A bit afraid for the noisy presence of the highway 70 so close, but this was Nº problem during nighttime. In the morning we had a nice chat with Bob. We enjoyed our stay and thank Bob and his crew.
We had an amazing time staying in Watertown. Bob replied immediately to our request for 2 nights and gave us clear and precise directions to the lot.
The old town of Watertown is really cool, and has a lot of history. We met Bob on the 2nd day and he was not only a funny and smart man, but invited us over to his house for Kentucky Derby get together.
We had such a great time there and met his wonderful daughters and neighbors.
The lot had full hook up, and plenty of space and privacy, behind a workshop.
Fantastic location, 20 mins outside of Nashville.
We cannot wait to return! Thank you so much again Bob and family :)
Host was out of town when we arrived, No problem finding the place. Did reach him on the phone and he was very friendly and helpful. Walked into town for dinner. The locals were very friendly. Did talk to the host again the next morning but we had left early so again didn't get to meet him. His home is a beautiful historic house. Never heard the train at night. Some noise from local traffic. We would have liked to meet Bob personally as he seemed like an interesting Man, and besides he is a fellow Roadtrek owner, so that says a lot. 😀
We stayed at bob's location, it was easy in and out quiet little town, we walked 2 blocks down town and ate some of the best pizza either of us had ever ate
Highly recommend both the location and the pizza

This was our first stay through Boondockers Welcome, and it set a high bar for future stays. Our host was welcoming and gracious, and our conversations included engaging stories. The site is easily accessed and included 30 Amp power. More than we could have asked for in a boondocking experience. We'll be back!!
We arrived in Watertown and found our spot with ease and set up. Mr. McComb arrived shortly after to greet us and was very warm. He recommended some places to eat in town and then wished us a pleasant stay. Mr. McComb saw us off the next day and was generous enough to allow us into his families historic home. Absolute hospitality.
Short trip to Nashville and needed to get in the night before. Did a quick overnight with no hookups, and it was great and very convenient--easy to find. Thanks, Bob!
Thanks to Bob's generosity, he opened his Boondocking place for us even though he wasn't home during our travel dates! We were thrilled with the large gravel parking area, complete with water and electric. Also, Watertown was a lovely place to stay...very cute and welcoming! We would highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity. Bob is so accommodating and responds back in a timely manner. We wish we would have been able to meet him be in person!
We stayed one night in December 2017 at Bob's place, on the way to Nashville, TN.
Bob replied promptly. Although the cold night, went out to show us the spot and how to connect to utility and water.
The next morning was a surprise, since Bob came to invite us for a Community Breakfast, at his home, where we had the opportunity to meet also his nice friends.
Bob is a warm welcoming host. Highly recommended.
.Stayed here in May 2017. I am remiss for not having commented sooner. . I think I was Bob's first guest. He let me stay at his location for 2 nights even though he was going on a trip.
To insure my safe arrival and find the location he had arranged for a friend to look out for me. When I arrived I missed the turn into the site but as I circled the block Bpb's friend flagged me down and directed me to site.
A nice town. Friendly folks who greeted you on the street. Pleasant librarian who provided info about the town, vendors were very welcoming,
Thanks Bob for hosting our group.
Our GPS was a little off we ended up in the bank parking lot next store. Bob rescued us and directed us to his commercial lot across from his house.
Bob was very informative about the area and Nashville which helped greatly with our visit.
Thanks Bob
We really enjoyed our stay, Bob was friendly and informative. The town was very interesting, and we enjoyed meeting some of the shop owners. Located less than a block away from Bob's, was a very nice laundromat, which was a big bonus.
We planned to stay at Bob's location for 3 nights however, due to truck problems we had to stay an extra day. It was so nice to have a safe and convenient location while getting our truck repaired and touring Nashville. Bob was a friendly and helpful host and well thought of in the town which made the residents friendly to us. Thanks ever so much!!!!
Very nice and helpful host. The place is located in a very nice little town and we had a wonderful Halloween evening! Hopefully Bob told us about as we are french travelerd and discovering the country.... It was nice to meet Bob and speak with. Thanks again!
This Boondocker lives outside of Nashville within driving distance of the Grand Ole Opry. He recently purchased a RoadTrek, which is what we have, so hope to see him at a RoadTrek Rally which will be at our place in January of 2018. He was a very gracious host and did everything he could to make us feel welcome. We called him at the last minute, and even though he was very involved with a festival in his home town he allowed us to camp at his place. The accommodations are first class with provisions for water, electric, and sewer. Lives only a block from downtown in an historic home in a quaint little town so much to do and see if you have the time. We would highly recommend this Boondocker to anyone.
Wonderfully accommodating and the town is beautiful. The people are so friendly and helpful. Thank you Bob for allowing me to boondock and experience this awesome small Tennessee town.
