Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostBack off main road down long driveway then my property all gravel country setting. Only hosting October to May due to excessive summer temperatures which can reach 114F. Many creatures here Deer, Turkeys, Skunks (sometimes), Jack Rabbits, Foxes (sometimes), Buzzards, Hawks ( you’ll have to watch smaller dogs), Quails, and hundreds of birds. And neighbors little dogs that come to visit Puppy. Peaceful with good nights rest. And good company if I do say so LOL. I treat folks as I want to be treated it’s all easy here.
Always be kind. I don’t charge any fee for your stay. I smoke cigarettes just to let you know. I have big porch your welcomed to enjoy if you want. If you need something just ask. I only have one side of property fenced so please know if your dog runs off it’s on you to get them back. I can close front gate if needed. So just relax and rest for your journey.
Long driveway down to my property then gravel easy, watch for all creatures go slow please
Long driveway on my property and all is workable
Only hosting from October to May. Excessive temperatures in summertime can reach 114F are hot and unbearable to be in any rig. Because you can’t run your A/C here.
This is a blink town... if you blink you'll miss it. LOL There's really not much to see or do here.
Many oak trees surround this cozy spot. We saw Turkeys and deer. Host is the best!!! We hope to return.
She called us after she saw the request, then guided us how to get here. Even offered us her frozen burritos. Went above and beyond sending her husband to fetch us when we couldnt find her place. Helped us to park and told us where the hook ups were. Couldnt have asked for a more gracious host. Highly recommend plus, the place is super quiet and safe.
Thanks so so much for a lovely first experience on boondokers welcome.
Anyone would feel welcome here including the deer and the wild turkeys which wander around the place. Our host was so sweet and welcoming and makes the best chocolate cake!
The lane into the lot is fairly steep and narrow but the rv spot is ample with good turn around space.
A lovely spot nestled in the rolling hills of Red Bluff CA. Dee is a very engaging lady. She went above and beyond as a hostess. The best homemade chocolate cake! Offered laundry facilities and trash receptacles along with quiet setting with water for our Moho! Loved sitting with her on her front porch holding her sweet pup and talking about our lives. She joined us in our Moho this morning and we watched the wild turkeys strut by. Great first experience for us!
DeAnna's spot was a delightful place, and so was she, also, delightful! A really kind and generous person who provides a very safe space, tucked down off the road. Beautiful landscape and wildlife to see. My host made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived! A 5-star host!
I enjoyed my time at DeAnna’s. They are a helpful and kind host, great location and beautiful yard. Thank you!
Love..loved my stay! Hated to leave...Dee was the best! Could have stayed forever( almost did) lol. My little dog rusty liked Dee better than me I think!!!! Will definitely go back. LINDA..RUSTY
We really enjoyed the natural beauty of Dee's setting. First, we were greeted by two deer in the driveway, then by turkeys gobbling on a little hillside just across the fence. Then, I got out of my rig and met Dee.... Wonderful, gracious - and fun!
"Puppy" is the sheriff 'round these parts.
We had blue sky, birdsong at dusk and dawn, an amorous male turkey strutting' his stuff for all the ladies, and groups of 2 and 3 deer wandering around. Hummingbird and doves stopped by for a visit. This is a real treat. Oh, yeah - 30 amp receptacle is good clean power from the house wiring. Driveway tight, paved but bumpy, still no problem. Just right for small rigs - no height issue for me, and I need 11'6". Really wish I could share pics of turkeys, natural setting and sky. Thank you for your generosity, Dee. :-)
Dee was so helpful and enjoyed my stay. Many deer came to visit. Looking forward to staying again.
Dee has a beautiful spot in a country like setting, with views out over an acreage of rolling hills with Deer and Garry Oaks. Dee is also a very pleasant lady who is always willing to help out and do what she can to make you feel comfortable. This was our second visit with Dee and puppy, and it's always a treat to stop in and visit her.
Thanks so much Dee.
We cannot Thank Dee enough for her Hospitality in our time of need! We are on a deadline, but due to the weather and traffic, we were just not going to make our destination last night. Dee stepped up, in the dark, in the rain, to guide us in from the road. (It really is much better if you can get here during the daylight!). We slept great and left well rested to try and make it to family in Portland before the temperature drops, roads freeze and we miss the whole Celebration. Dee's Little Spot is truly a Blessing in the Storm!
Dee is a great host. Nice stopping point in NorCal. We loved meeting Dee and Puppy both.
Dee was very welcoming & offered WiFi, electric, water, showers! Friendly and accommodating. Puppy and kitty greeted us, too. The spot was just right for our 24’ class C. Great place for passing through. The State Historic Park 1/2 mile away is worth a visit.
Dee is such a giving, caring person, that we didn't want to leave. Dee's little spot is perfect for a stop over, just off I-5 and with all the amenities. There is also a little State Park within a half mile walk right on the Sacramento River that is great for a picnic. Thanks so much Dee for a lovely visit.
We stayed at Dee's Little Spot last night while traveling home from Arizona to Washington State. This is not a spot for big rigs, but for us it was perfect! Dee says maximum length of 25 feet. We have a pickup camper and with our cargo trailer we are about 35 feet, so we needed to drop our cargo trailer off to the side, which we did. We backed the pickup in to our spot, which was nice and level, and Dee soon had us hooked up to power and water, a really unexpected plus for a Boondockers Welcome site. Could not find a better spot anywhere!
Dee welcomed us, with offers of water, power hookup and a shower. She invited us into her home and we felt welcome and cared for. We were invited back, and I would recommend Dee to anyone. Her puppy is so cute and the site wonderful. We saw wild turkeys and deer. Thank you, Dee for your wonderful hospitality!
Looking forward to seeing them again if the timing works for them.
Deanna did not have much warning from us and we arrived late but she couldn't have been more welcoming. She and Puppy were very generous to share their home and made sure we had everything we needed.
We would definitely stop again if we were to travel her roads again.
Moshie
What a fantastic host.
Gracious, funny, engaging and some good hearty laughs as well.
Electric (30 amp) was available and so was water.
She told us to keep our eyes open for turkeys and deer and sure enough we saw both.
It was fun talking with her and meeting her little dog "puppy".
As mentioned, easy on and off the 5 freeway in California. This place happened to be exactly halfway in our trip.
We did discuss sizes of RV's that would be easily navigable on her property.
Our best guess is up to 30' would be A-ok.
The only issue is the entrance to the driveway area, from the road, is that it is a tight drive.
If you are careful it is easily doable.
To be on the safe side when we left we did not re-hook up the tow vehicle immediately. We hooked it up at the bottom of the hill at the park. This was no problem. On our next trip I may even un-hook at the park and then drive both vehicles to her place (just to be on the peace-of-mind side of things)
We feel like we've made a new friend and can't wait to swing by and stay here again.
We've even shared pictures and texts.
Until next time...............
We loved our overnight stop at DeAnn's place. It was quiet and had everything we could possibly need. DeAnn is such a loving and honest host. We enjoyed everything about our stay. We even got to see the turkeys on our way out. We have left with a new friend and will look forward to stopping by again when our travels take us through Red Bluff. :)
Our stay with DeAnna was our first time using BoondockersWelcome and it couldn't have been any better. DeAnna went out of her way to make us all feel welcome, including our dog Jack. What a treat for him to be off leash at camp on her 1+ acre property--we had to carry him to the car from her porch when it was time to go! DeAnna provides a level parking place on gravel with electric and water hookups. We enjoyed talking with her and would definitely stop again.
We very much enjoyed our stay with DeAnna. They are very accommodating and made our stay very pleasant. There are Deer, Wild Turkeys and lots of twittering birds in this little rural space in the town of Red Bluff. Enjoyable stop on our way to Catalina, AZ.
