We are a small 2 acre lot in the country,15 minutes from Sarnia. We have 5 kids, 2 beehives and a dog. (it can be busy, but never boring.)
We are 600m off the pavement on a gravel road.
We have availability starting after Oct 1 2016.
We arrived a little later than originally planned but these hosts were very gracious. They invited us to enjoy their campfire but we were too tired, though it was tempting. We parked in the grass near the road, which was very quiet as there is almost no traffic on it. A very nice stay with nice hosts. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our limited time with the host family . The site was easily accessed by our 30ft RV but parking beneath the walnut trees in season was problematic. Ask the host for alternative - the site was simply leveled , quiet and peaceful.
Thanks to the family,
WalnutRidge’s Host Location was easy to find and get into. The Hosts offered us 15 Amp electric and water and an option on two different sites. We opted for the shaded area by the drive. This option offers no amenities but suited us just fine. The nights were dark and quiet. We enjoyed visiting the beach at Sarnia, shopping at Petrolia and the Oil Museum atOil Springs. We even were able to watch lawn mower races.
The Host were very gracious and stopped by often and checked to see if we needed anything. Their children were well spoken and very well mannered. Wally the Lab was happy to see us and also well behaved.
We will request this location again when in the area and highly recommend to others.
So hospitable, inviting us to sit around the campfire and eating mulberries and lemon clover!! And icecream! They put the Welcome in Boondockers Welcome!!! The nicest family!!! They touched our hearts!!
Very happy family, so friendly and living their country dream. Great view from parking. Thank you for a special weekend.
We had a lovely stay at this home and property. Friendly family and great location to tour the area. We had wonderful drives along the St.Clair river and Sania waterfront.
Thank you for your hospitality.
We had a great time staying at Walnut Ridge! Beautiful family and great hosts.
We spent a great afternoon together at the beach (~15min away) and had dinner together. We even got to meet their extended family. Everyone was super nice and our kids got along great! We made great memories. Thank you again for letting us stay with you!
We ended up being late arriving because of delays at the border. They met us at the road with a flashlight. Our stay ended with pumpkin pancakes for breakfast. A wonderful family. They made us feel right at home. Wish we could’ve gone to the fiddle competition.
This is a perfect place to stop whether you are coming or going. Very sweet picture perfect town of Petrolia near by. Stop at the Cottage for a bite to eat :-). Thank you Boondocking Family!!!
We spent a night with WalnutRidge, and found the location without problems. We were welcomed friendly and spent some time on the campfire, even were offered marshmallows to roast. It was a great night and i would really recommend to stay if you're able.
thanks and hope you're all doing well again.
we stopped here on our way to the US. The hosts were extremely obliging and a very delightful family. Great parking area. The ducks were too cute.
