We had an amazing stay at Able Acres. The hosts were incredible and thoughtful. They provided us with lots of information and ideas about what to do in the area. They were conscientious of the fact that we are traveling with our young daughter and always checked to see if she was napping prior to doing any loud yard work, which was greatly appreciated (and unexpected). We will definitely stay with them again when we pass back through this area.
The host are so easy going and helpful! Great large level area to park and fire pit to use. You will want to stay longer and definitely come back.
Very friendly and welcoming! Always available to guide and provide tips you as you explore the area. Great fire pit too!
Stayed at this location with my husband and dog Elvira. Easy to find, well laid out and just beautiful! They have a lovely home, their private trails are cool and the area is beautiful as well. They are both so hospitable, we feel we made new friends!
We would love to return some time and hope they come visit us as well. This really is what Welcome Boondockers is all about. Thank you!!!!
We can't say enough good things about our hosts! We stayed our original two days and then realized our next stop wasn't going to pan out. We were so totally blown away by their kindness and hospitality when they let us book another two nights to get us to our next stop. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them, listening to all their travels across the country, and picking up some great tips too. If you ever get a chance to stay with them, do it! You won't be sorry. I'll say it again, we came as Strangers and Left as Friends!
There was so much to do in this area that we extended our stay. Thanks for having us!
This place is gorgeous! Peaceful and quiet but close to Wolfboro Meridith, Laconia, Weir's Beach, and few hours from Portland. Hosts are everything you'd hope them to be and more. So hospitable and friendly, giving us ideas for sightseeing and things to do, and wonderful chats sharing stories. I'd come back here in a heartbeat! Hope to see you soon!
These girls are top notch and provided us with so much information to make our stay perfect. We would love to come back and see them again soon.
Let me start by saying that this was our first experience with a travel trailer. That said, our hosts were incredibly helpful. They imparted many valuable tips and tricks that will make future boon-docking adventures a breeze.
Able Acres is so peaceful and relaxing. We so enjoyed our visits at the fire pit getting to know our hosts. There is plenty to do in the area and the host has a binder of local attractions to help you decide. We took advantage of the rails-to-trails that are only a few minutes away and spend an afternoon downtown by the lake. We will definitely be going back to visit our new friends.
We know. You're ready to read the 57th consecutive rave review of a BW host. Lists of adjectives.
Not going there. Able Acres is a hospitality shrine.
And they're not even trying.
A & L seem perfectly natural at providing the best experience they possibly can. Our style is to ride our bikes all day. No real plan. They (L) have a comprehensive folder of information to make you aware of local points of interest. But.....they were judiciously hands off with us. We're suspect they would have loaded us in their car and taken us anywhere. Truly. As it was, we had a few really nice sit-down conversations. Not enough, though.
(A) took one of us swimming at a pristine local beach, after dinner. Then made us banana bread with fresh picked blueberries the next morning.
You've read the raves from the other lucky guests. Every bit of it, true.
Bottom line; there is no way we're not staying connected.
Wonderful folks and an awesome place to stay. We will have to go back for another stay to spend more time visiting with Able and seeing more of the area.
Amy and Lindsay were awesome hosts throughout our 2 night stay. We are new to RVing and this was our first BW stay. They went out of their way to answer our myriad of questions as we sat by the fire pit enjoying Lindsay's home made popcorn.
We would recommend staying with them when in the Lakes Region, you won't be disappointed!
Thank you again Amy and Lindsay!
We loved our stay at AbleAcres. Such a welcoming, helpful, friendly and entertaining couple! Being new to the RV world, we learned so much from these experienced RV voyagers about many aspects of life on the road. Please come see us on Cape Cod soon! MarcyBen
We had such a good time with our hosts, who could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. As newbie Roadtrekers, we appreciated getting so many great RVing tips and important help (as in, how to deal with our dead battery!!!), as well as extension of our stay due to rain, rain, rain. This area of NH is magnificent. We particularly enjoyed the local rails to trails for biking. We will back!!! Thanks! Marcy and Ben
This is what Boondockers Welcome is all about! Our stay at Mable13's place was beyond hospitable. Our hosts offered us plenty of local knowledge about places to visit and the going-ons of the area. We enjoyed the fire pit, friendly conversation, and their sweet dog as well as all of our adventure around the area. Thanks for the banana bread! We will definitely be back.
Loved the beautiful location, and host could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Great conversations on subjects that we are both passionate about! I had such a great peaceful sleep in this quite mountain home. Hope to get back next year and if they are not out traveling, I would love to spend some time exploring the area. Lots to see and do, especially if you like the outdoors. Parking site was level and easy to just drive thru. A perfect Boondocker’s stay!
Great overnight stop!!! We enjoyed visiting at length with our hosts. AND they were wonderfully helpful with (1) travel tips for interesting sites in Maine and (2) help with a challenging change of a headlight lamp. Great company and great location!
What a lovely place to stay. I was backed in so that my front window faced the forest. 30 amp and water. It felt like I was all by myself in the woods. My hosts were amazing. My dogs had the use of their spacious fenced back yard and I could sit on their lovely screened back porch to watch the sunset when it wasn't raining. They helped me suggestions of places to go sightseeing, restaurants, and even found an RV repairman for me when my fridge quit chilling. Very friendly folks who greeted me with a smile and cheery " good morning!" every day.
We stayed 3 nights with these folks. The weather wasn’t great during our stay, but everything else was perfect! The site is gorgeous, and they offered 30 amp electric and water. Nearby Wolfeboro and Lake Winnipesaukee were lots of fun, in spite of the weather. The best part, though, was the hospitality, advice, and companionship of the hosts! They are very interesting people who have a lot of travel and activity experience, and they gave us so much useful information! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit with them again sometime. We highly recommend this location!
They both treated us so nice. They gave us good advice on where to go in the area and even took us to a local swimming hangout when we got there. They.nicely helped us position our rig for
optimum view and gave us good advice for future rig use. Lots of room to move around plus a nice walking path for the dog. Good conversation and good people.
Wow, what can I say, Lindsay and Amy are the best!! I showed up with my rig and a 20ft car trailer which we had to break apart to get me turned around, but using their pick up it was a breeze. Great location, nice flat parking, super quiet at night, and the warmest friendliest hosts you can imagine. My first experience with Boondockers Welcome was a home run for sure!!
We were supposed to stay with Mable13 for three days, but we just had to stay for four and had the absolute best time! The hosts are so welcoming and gracious and make you feel right at home. Luckily for us, they had some extra time so we got a wonderful tour of the area. This is a fantastic location, BEAUTIFUL site and wonderful town. We became fast friends and feel like we've known them forever. We plan to stay in touch and hopefully be back in the area to stay again. We can't recommend them enough!!! You won't be disappointed, unless you aren't able to make it to this fantastic location.
We stayed with Mable13 for several days, and the location was the best! This was our first time at a Boondockers Welcome site and we were totally impressed. They had many suggestions about local sites. Activities included an afternoon floating in a nearby lake, a day driving around the countryside taking in all the beautiful views, covered bridges, downtown, and history of the area. There is a short walking trail on the beautiful property, and the evening sky is full of stars – you can even watch the fire-flies. We know we will visit see these two again and hopefully in the not too distant future. Thank you for such a perfect camping spot with fire-pit and rock seating. Even our dogs had a great time! Thanks again.
We spend a very quiet night. Very friendly people.
They made available all commodities and take time for us.
Thanks a lot for all.
Hope to see you next time.
We were very pleased with the site when we arrived. It was level, and a very scenic location. The hosts were very accomodating and have created a wonderful location to share with others who travel.
We hope to visit again in the future!
We stayed with Mable13 for a few days, they were our first hosts and were spectacular. So willing to share knowledge and help accommodate us and our rig. We hope to see them again in our journeys! They set a high bar for our future boondockers welcome friends!
We enjoyed our visit so much we had to return again! Another campfire with good conversation, and our hosts even arranged to have the smoke go away from us! More walks, another free outdoor concert in town, fresh veggies....I love this place, and the hosts! Thank you for making us feel so welcome! We look forward to when we meet again.
My husband and I had such a great visit with these folks that we couldn’t stay away! We returned for another great visit, including campfires, great conversation, and even fresh veggies from their garden. This home is one of our top recommendations. Thank you so much!
We stayed with these gals for several days, and the location and company was the best! We shared conversation over a campfire each evening, followed up on many suggestions about local sites, went blueberry picking together, and will probably do a canoe paddle together in a nearby lake before we leave. There is a short walking trail on the beautiful property, and the evening sky is full of stars since there are no city lights (or noises) close by. We did hear coyotes several times, and the red fox we saw was beautiful. And then there was the banana bread......! We hope to see these two again in our travels, as we enjoyed them so much! Thank you for such a perfect parking spot, complete with electricity and wifi, and most of all, friendship.
