Original Ducks, Jet Boats, Lost Canyon, Mirror Lake State Park, Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo
We were able to effectively communicate and although we didn't meet face to face due to weather, we appreciated the hospitality.
Hope to be able to connect with these hosts another time when we can interact directly and get a chance to get to know one another.
The kids had a great time riding their bikes around the property and the family was very welcoming.
Thank you jrobewesty! Your field provided the perfect place to camp. Flat, beautiful, and close to town. Thank you for everything!
Spent a couple of nights here, had a great time. Spent the day at nearby Devils Lake. Extremely nice people, plus they restore VW vans, what’s not to like!!
We had a great overnight stay on the way to the Boundary Waters. We enjoyed talking with the hosts.
We enjoyed our stay. The hosts were welcoming and showed us where to park. We especially enjoyed their large fire pit and the mowed paths that we used to walk our dogs. Although we were passing through on our way to Michigan, I could definitely see this being a great base to explore "The Dells."
Great to have a friendly family to share their Awesome outdoor space for an evening! Plenty of room to spread out and relax! Thanks so luck!
Had a great stay. Convenient location to the Dells. The hosts were really friendly, had a nice chat. Their daughter was very sweet and cute. Would love to come back next time we come this way.
We enjoyed chatting with the hosts. They were very welcoming. A place with lots of charm.
Julia met us upon arrival and showed spot best for us for the evening. As we are 73 feet when towing, it was appreciated.
Nice level spot next to the barn, behind the house. They gave us the WiFi password , which was so wonderful. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to get to know our hosts, due to COVID-19 & social distancing. Thanks for providing a nice place to stop for the night.
Perfect spot to see all in and around the Dells. Appreciate the recommendations and hospitality J&J provided. Thanks again!!
This was a great place to stop. Plenty of space and peaceful. Very friendly hosts. Couldn’t interact a whole lot because of the pandemic.
This is the nicest family! They accepted us on very short notice and were extremely welcoming. We had a nice level spot to land, and my husband especially enjoyed talking to Mr. Host about his business, restoring classic VW vans. The older kids in the family hung out by a campfire in the evening, singing and strumming a guitar. It was a great stay! Thank you!
Great hosts - good communication. We really enjoyed staying at their farm - quiet and peaceful. Could really see the stars. We had a great time. Thank you!
Had an excellent stay with these hosts and a visit with their youngest daughter discussing rock painting.
Their location was an excellent spot to launch our Wisconsin Dells activities.
Took them up on their advice and had lunch at Kimberly's. We ordered the "Jeff special" (3 steak tacos) as well as an enchilada meal. Both were excellent.
Thanks J&J ...
This is a very nice spot to boondock, the family is absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate my family
The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in their open field where we able to use our satellite dish. Pleasant hosts and would highly recommend.
J & J were great hosts as we wondered our way up through the Dells. With no particular travel itinerary (we are full timers) they accepted our host request with only a day's advance notice. We stopped by in the morning & J came out of his shop to say hello and provide advice, as we were seeking more natural, wooded settings, or possible places to ride our bikes, rather than planning to hit the more popular tourist attractions in the town of Wisconsin Dells. We came back in the early evening, made dinner in our rig and had a nice relaxing evening in their shaded back yard. Although we only stayed the one night, we had the opportunity to have several nice conversations with both. This couple seem both very caring and giving. Not only to the RV community via Boondockers welcome but also through their community outreach to an international community that works in the Dells during the high tourist season. When you have time to get away, if you ever travel into North Carolina, don't forget our place is always available to you!
Convenient access to the Wisconsin Dells makes jrobewesty’s backyard a perfect stop while in Wisconsin. The private, grassy area behind the front building is very comfortable and provides a bit of a sound barrier to the road traffic and the work shop. There is a very nice dog day care facility close by on the way to the Wisconsin Dells for your dog to enjoy while you are riding duck boats in town. They also have a mowed grass path in the back for a short private walk along the back property line, perfect for a private stroll or a dog walk. We appreciated our stay and would love a chance to visit again.
We had a quiet afternoon and evening of rest at this location. We were just passing through and were not looking for any activities. Great WiFi so we were able to catch up on emails and watch a little TV.
Benji and I had such a wonderful time! So peaceful here! Added up to a great night's sleep for the rest of my trip! I love your new stage! 😂Thank you for everything! Im so fortunate to have friends like you! Feel better both of you!
We had to social distance, but we were so close to the Dells and gone most of the time getting all the kitchy and cool scenic experiences we could in the time we had. It was so refreshing to come home to a camper with our opposing slides both out! We are so grateful for the opportunity to stay here!
The couple who host this site are warm, welcoming and oh so helpful.
I would return. The area is close to everything. A fire pit, tables and an eclectic surrounding all have stories that are heart felt and community minded. They were more than helpful when I needed assist and offered suggestions for small owner run cafes. There is a low traffic farm road boardering the property that offers a senic and great opportunity to stretch your legs.
A little rustic but very convenient location. Hosts are very friendly and made sure we were comfortable.
Nice stay over with a collector/ restorer of rvs Lots of space, adjacent to a large vacation area. Would have booked more time to enjoy if I’d known what was here. Great group of people too.
We enjoyed our stay very much. While close to hwy 13 our site was very quiet and dark. This made for excellent sleeping
Upon arrival we were kindly greeted. Our hosts offered assistance when needed without asking and they also shared with us some fun ideas for us while we stayed. There were others staying here but you couldn't tell. There is a large fire pit that we enjoyed using and we were able to park in a level location that provided shade at all times. This was out first boondocking experience and we highly recommend this host and location!
Not far off.i 94. Friendly folks. Told us in advance of an event that might be noisy but we chose to stay anyway and enjoyed the festivities from out of the way.
Our kids had a great time playing with their kids as well as another family staying there. Very nice family!
With late 60's Dodge Travico (sp) Motorhome & VW Beetles in their yard, brought back childhood & college memories ...sweet! Hosts are friendly, spot is level, and convenient to the Dells.
This is our first time using boondockers welcome and we had a great experience. Along with another family of boondockers, we stayed at this large 6 acre property conveniently located on route 13 less than 20 minutes north of Wisconsin Dells. Our kids made friends with the others quickly and there were a trampoline, stage, playground, and campfire to keep all of the kids entertained throughout the evening. We stayed up late by the campfire making smores and talking to everyone until the kids went down. Overall a great experience!
Host showed us where to park and had easy in and out for all size rigs. They even had a nice picnic and campfire area on site. We loved the trash receptacles they had available. Very close to Wisconsin Dells
Had a brief stop here on a cool and rainy night. We were given great directions to their location, including where to pull in and park for the night so we had an easy drive out in the morning. Would definitely stop again if we are in the area! Thanks!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We were warmly welcomed, had plenty of space to park and even managed to refill our freshwater tank. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer, despite being in the middle of some time sensitive projects. They have a fabulously picnic and fire pit area that we didn't have a chance to take advantage of, but looks like it would be a lot of fun. Would definitely stay here again.
We truly enjoyed staying at their lovely property. We felt welcome every moment and it was fun chatting and getting acquainted. We asked them concerning a place to attend services on Sunday and they invited us to their church, where we had a blessed time and were again made to feel very welcome.
They have an amazing auto/camper restoration business and I enjoyed learning about all that he is doing. Our little daughter and their's immediately became inseparable and enjoyed playing together. Boon-docking at their place has definitely been one of the memorable parts of our Journey.
Easy in and out! Beautiful location. Met Julie who was super nice! Slept great! Thank you!!
Wonderful stay overnight! Everyone was so friendly. Great site with a fire pit - we were too tired for a fire but otherwise would have definitely used it. Convenient location to the Dells and for us to get back on the interstate. Would love to stay here again and highly recommend!
This was a really nice spot with plenty of room and privacy. This is located on a fairly busy state highway but we were sheltered from the highway and the noise was minimal. I was able to use my AT&T data service the whole time so we did not need to use the wifi. Very convenient location close to Wisconsin Dells. They also offered some great recommendations on nearby attractions. We did not get much chance to visit with our hosts as we were pretty busy but our daughter thoroughly enjoyed playing for a while with their daughter. We had a very nice stay and we deeply appreciate the hospitality!
We loved this little oasis. We spent most of our time in Wisconsin Dells and this was a great place to get some much needed rest at the end of our busy days. Quiet and tucked away from the road. There is a nice grassy area with firepit, chairs and picnic tables. Our hosts were very kind and we highly recommend this spot.
The host were more than accommodating. Quiet area and a pull through. It was a relaxing stay.
Great place to boondock. Close to Wisconsin Dells and easy to get to from I-94 Also easy in and out of their property with our motor home and tow vehicle. Appreciated the good WiFi service although satellite TV reception can be spotty due to trees on property. Friendly hosts
